NCAA indoors and cross championships are EGREGIOUSLY close together. Athletes will let likely pick one or the other. In the case of Oregon, they are heavy favorites to win the indoor team title, so they will almost definitely focus on the indoor meet.

Oh, too close to do both. I guess they chose the track/shorter distance option a couple months ago if they're in this kind of mile shape.
We'll see on Friday the 19th (or for that matter on March 5th at the Pac-12s in Tacoma) if Oregon even runs Teare, Hocker & whoever else at the Lane CC XC Invitational in Eugene if they're serious, semi-serious, or indifferent about the cross country season.
Surely they could tempo about a 24-minute 8k at one or both meets and call it good, then force the NCAA selection committee to make a call on whether or not they should be in the XC championship if they're going all in on indoors.
It's a nice problem to have.
Look a how well Jessica Hull has done in both long and middle distances.

Cole Hocker likely would have been top 10. Teare looks like a top 10 guy also. They both would be difficult to drop, although it is entirely possible. When you can run 3:50 and under 13:20, you are generally going to be a threat in NCAA Cross Country.
