Man. Gault is not that smart. He got duped into running a PR piece fir On running. Most shoe companies would pay for that kind of advertising. Any real journalists could’ve spotted this.
ON makes crap shoes, stop it with those clouds on every damn shoe. Atreyu has surpassed ON even though they have just one shoe In their lineup.

Good point. Nick needs to provide some detail here.
All things aside. The more training groups we have the better. People stay in competitive running longer when there are groups that are more accepting with lower entry standards (like tinman). Gone are the days of Nike only admitting Nike vetted and sponsored athletes into the 3 clubs that matter. More groups in more locations with more varied corporate sponsorship spreads the wealth beyond the PNW and Boulder. We get rivalries, trash talk, movement between groups. Maybe someone will care about club XC again? Covid could even bring us some dual meets.
Drew Hunter is a good example that top athletes can still thrive and qualify for world champs/oly on one of these new more innovative teams.

Having injury problems and multiple top coaches is a good way to learn how to coach and how to keep injury-free. So, Ritz has a lot of valuable experience. Wetmore, Hudson, Salazar, Hansons, and Prinz all taught him plenty. Too bad for him that he didn't have Canova for a while like Hall. For Klecker, it sounds like he had a great shot at multiple track NCAA titles this year and that he is in top shape right now and really deserves better than to be running a 5000m in Nashville in August when he's in 13 flat shape. Fly him to Europe or set something up with good pacers in a cool state.

Because TME gets so much attention among runners and On basically doesn't? DeKoker is clearly insanely jealous of the attention TME generates for Adidas with so little investment from Adidas. Hoare and Beamish each have a NCAA title and Monson was dominant, I was fairly impressed with that list of names. Who else would you have been more impressed with? Weini has eligibility I think and on the guys side Kurgat or one of the Alabama seniors maybe but beyond them Seufer? Day seems like NAZ would be his destination
As for Ritz's career, how can you say that it was middling when he won two Footlocker xc titles over Alan Webb and Ryan Hall, multiple hs track titles, ran 8:41 and 13:44.7 in high school; won NCAA xc in college, as well as 13:27 as a 19 year old freshman and World Junior XC bronze; ran 2:07:47 in the marathon; made many U.S. World and Olympic teams; ran 27:22 10000m for 6th on a hot day at World's when in shape to break 27; ran an American record 12:56 5000m; won World Half Marathon bronze in 60:00 in a tactical race when in shape to take the American record; and ran multiple 60:xx halfs.
