great call on asking for the wax museum photos, b/c frank's not pictured. our friend 1108 is pictured on page 6630. based on the splits and looking at the clock time, he crossed the 20K mat (just up the road, but only after a zig (or a zag)) 45 seconds ahead of frank. frank is not on pages 6631 through 6635 (on 6635, there's a runner, 40773, who crossed the 20K mat 35 seconds after frank). this house of cards is crumbling. come clean frank.

Is that after 15K? If you look at the pictures in sequence, Frank follows behind a guy in a yellow singlet and one of the top open women (in black). If you at the splits of each, Frank would not have been in any pictures with the duo by 15k.

Theory is cut Hollywood Blvd after 9.3miles 15k mat and rejoin just before Chinese theatre above where they always take photos. by the looks of those runners just in front , rejoined a bit early or had a blazing fast blvd??
the photos in front of the wax museum are b/f the 15K mat, as are the photos you reference. but, go to page 7213 (the sequence of frank in front of the chinese theatre). go to pic 3017_115397, enlarge it, and look to the figure walking on to the course, just to the right of the 9 water mark. did this photographer just catch frank jumping back on the course? go through the sequence following. the 15K mat is w/in a mile and frank and the woman, 18573, cross the 15k mat within three seconds of one another (frank 3 seconds back).

At 20K, Frank's split was 1m40s (Clock Time) behind the duo.
There are Two wax museums. Hollywood wax and Madame tusauds. Hes not in both? Tusauds is right before the theatre. Someone needs to get the Hi res of that photo refd above.

Just came across an inspiring story about a 70 year guy that ran a 2:54 in Florida. Glad it's not the same guy. That was an inspiring story.

I think my post was confusing. Frank is in photos barely trailing 22397 (Yellow Singlet Guy) and 19087 (Woman in Black). At 20K, Frank was One Minute Forty Seconds behind the duo.

At that spot you are virtually guaranteed of appearing in at least one photo or more, FMD there's even pedestrians crossing the road and cyclists riding the course appearing in them there.
On page 6630 there's the big fella 1108 who Frank had been running with, on page 6633 is the woman Frank finished just ahead of and on page 6629 is the white T shirt fella who Frank finished just behind.
So 15th page either side of page 6630: runners on page 6645 finished around 3hr17, page 6615 around 2min40.
But guess what, in between no photos of Frank.

Also, can anyone with better computer skills than me make a stop motion type video from photos 3017_115380 to 3017_115410? I've done it crudely using the back and forward buttons on the browser and the result is impressive.
Yeah, but at one time or another he would have had to of passed through that point, but he doesn't, everyone else does though.

The matter is actually highly suspicious. It would be absurd to believe that someone who gives away time again and again (late start, toilette...) and does not look fit would still be in a world-record time. comments, please.

I think that is Highland Avenue. The person is walking north onto Hollywood Blvd.
the pics are from hollywood blvd., in between highland on the east and orange drive on west. runners ran west on hollywood, turned left on orange drive (heading south) and then right on sunset (heading west). it's a logical place b/c it's not too far from the 20K mat. and, yes, it's very odd that he's 1:40 behind the two runners he's pictured w/ b/c it's less than a mile to the 20K mat from where the photos are taken.
