I was there in the stands, finish line side. Mead actually got back up after being flat on his back on the track for a long time, and resumed running. When he came by us, he threw his sunglasses down on the track in disgust, but kept jogging around the track and actually finished the race.
That was the most bizarre 10k I have ever witnessed.

I like Nick, but in this case he was too calculating for his own good.
