i normally think this is a BS take, but i believe it. I think it's the only reason she came back. off to altitude camp for her now.
What?! The last thing KT needs right now is an altitude camp; that would crush her. She looks heavy and tired; yes she got 5th in a gutsy run today but she has not looked her best for quite some time now. What she needs now is to rest, regroup, and to move on to a new coach and situation; it seems she has truly enjoyed her college career but she's ridden that as far as she can if she wants to get to the next level.
She is flat... she'll need to pick her distance and either focus on track/speed or think about moving up. This is not HS where she is just winning whatever she runs. She needs to be faster to go pro and there is no indication she's improving significantly.
No one really saying this but think Stanford should be very disappointed. Aside from Ky who has multiple coaches - not great outcome. School like that - with resources scraping into top 10 is not good enough.
KT looked like she might cry several times during the race. I do wonder how poorly she felt during that race physically. Just looked sluggish. Glad she didn't give up on it though and got those points for the team.
Big props to Olivia M. from ND for hanging onto third. She is going to be a beast in steeple for the US if she follows her NIL deal to OAC.
If your head is not in the game you are going to physically suffer more. Valby knew KT was not going to take it out with her and clearly KT knew if too.
Wouldn't she help more by winning? I'm sure she's happy with the team win but no question it's a disappointment to get beaten this badly by someone who you ran away from last year. Touhy is just not at Vs level.
Tuohy was sick today, the Coach has interviewed about it now. Apparently Henes did not even this she would make it through the race.

How is women's college running still so less deep than mens? That woman from Florida had like a one minute lead after 5k, ridiculous. The men were all within seconds of each other at the finish.
I’m not buying the weak excuse that Tuohy was sick. Before the race, the coach said Tuohy is in the best shape of her life. Now she’s sick?? BS. Every time Tuohy loses there are lame excuses. So sick of it.
