If that be the case, if/when you criticize an action of the Biden administration, it is perfectly relevant for someone to respond by showing that the Trump administration had done something similar, or worse.

Since you don't address my actual point, apparently you concede it: When you and others of your ilk--who are known to wish Donald Trump were still in office--criticize an action of the Biden administration, it is perfectly relevant and responsive, and not at all a whataboutism, to show that the Trump administration did something similar or worse.

A big question is who is angrier.

Ds being angry about the insurrection?

Rs being angry about the "steal"?

Rs being angry about the "witch hunt"?

Ds being angry about the voter suppression?

I sincerely hope that Trumpers keep it up. The more they call for a coup or a civil war, the better it is for the 2022 elections.

I think there is zero real danger except for the possibility of isolated incidents.

Nothing would unite our country against the Trumpers more than the continued threat of violence.

This here is why I changed my party affiliation and left the Republican party to become an independent. There are (many?) people in the party who have been openly calling for a coup since November to overturn the democratic process, install Trump and institute a kind of monarchy. This to my mind is worse than socialism. I cannot abide by that. Jan 6th was entirely unsurprising to anyone who followed right wing social media and some of the players may have gone underground but they are waiting for the right moment to surface. The party is increasingly overrun by conspiracy whack jobs overwhelming the voices of true conservatives. The party is in urgent need of a moral compass and reformation.

the problem is that the party is 'run' by the whackjob base, which thinks Joe Biden is a Socialist, federal shock troops will invade their homes to take their guns, the 2020 election was stolen, and that Black Lives Matter is a part of the Democratic Party.

The garbage education so many Americans get has caught up with us. The trumpist base is trying to be patriotic...but its patriotism is based on garbage propaganda and bad education.

Not sure what elected Rs can do anymore.

It’s a very strong feedback loop. The voters are just as corrupted as the party. The base is party is trump. The defining point came when it became accepted that they would follow their own version of truth.

I told you guys they are outright welcoming an autocracy. We might quickly reach a new level of lawlessness and our military force will need to be used against our own.

A few violent incidents carried out by deranged trump lovers would heighten the urgency on the left to get out and vote in record numbers again. You never want it to come to violent acts but it’s better for a few trump lover incidents to scare the voters into shutting the GQP down than for us to see something worse than Jan 6.

Just to remind everyone of how the lawlessness progresses over time.

We just need one public address from Trump reconfirming his support for a coup and he could actually finally be locked the fk up.
