Okay but that's different than no experience like others are claiming. And being a professional with OTC and NJ/NY TC on top of that helps in recruiting. And having run for Vin with success also helps. She believes in his system and will vouch for that in recruiting and coaching. I honestly don't know why people are surprised or upset by this. It seems like a no brainer.

When will the maligning of people (coaches) stop on this forum? I think it is disgusting and totally rude that anyone can come on here and throw out accusations without repercussions or accountability. Let's Run needs to clean up its act. Get rid of these clowns, please, we have enough obnoxious noise in this country as it is.

This has been ongoing for years all the way back when it was Willy and Lake. These individuals and others who are trying to earn a living have a right to privacy and do not need to have some jerk come on here throw up dirt because he doesn't think the person deserves a particular coaching job. I wish you get the same kind of treatment some time in your life and see how it makes you feel. You are a total loser.

Coaching is a privilege not a right. You're not only coaching young adults to be the best runners they can be , you are also trying to make them the best people getting ready life after college. Coaches that get multiple opportunities after messing up over and over again just makes no sense. Unfortunately as our profession is , schools do look the other way because its a big name or a "sexy hire". These accusations you speak of, all you have to do is know the right people and just plain Google it.....they are there in plain sight. Im actually one of those people that have been spoken about on these boards and ill i do is laugh and move on.....stick and stones people. The point is if coaches wrongdoings are not discussed about then history is bound to repeat itself and trust me after all the news about coaches the last 20 years....we are under a microscope. We need more good people getting their foot in the door

I agree with your statement in getting good people to be coaches. What I think you are missing is that this forum does an injustice to many people who are not guilty of anything other than by innuendo or out and out gossip. Where does it say you can attack a young coach just because he or she doesn't have the right qualifications, according to someone's own perception of what is necessary for a job?

We live in a culture where calling out someone doesn't require facts, just accusations. How often does one see what was assumed initially ends up being something totally different when all the facts are in. Who made people on this forum God, to prosecute and judge individuals looking to work in a profession.

How is coaching any different from most any other job? People who work in most jobs have a responsibility to be honest and upstanding when providing a service. Each time someone gets selected to a position in a hospital, I don't see lots of crass criticism thrown at that doctor because of some perceived misdeed or lack of qualifications.

This forum used to have some quality to it, including posting of jobs and notices of hires. When all this other dirt under the fingernails keeps showing up, it makes the forum no better than some sleaze media outlet.

All these tales out of school might be scintillating to the bottom dwellers, but it takes away from our profession.

I am speaking out as a long time former college head coach who is tired of all the dirty laundry that gets thrown up here without accountability. There is nothing positive gained from these kinds of postings. I am asking posters to have some class and keep things in a positive light, rather than posting garbage day in and day out.

Wrong. Wrongest. This forum actually used to have a lot more calls for people to get fired and replaced when they were not in any danger of actually losing their job. Today it’s mostly jealousy about who gets hired. Especially when that hiring doesn’t result in a domino effect allowing some of you to “climb the ladder”.
