In Afghanistan, the US moved an entire occupying military force (army, navy, air force, marines) half way around the globe and conquered the Afghan-Al Qaeda-Taliban military in a matter of weeks. They did that with minimal losses. Compare that to Russia's pathetic attempts to invade and occupy Ukraine. Going on 6 months now, Russia can't even occupy it's smaller, weaker neighbor, and actually retreats from some places it almost gains (Kyiv and Kjarkiv). Russia has lost tens of thousands of Russian scumbag soldiers in the process.
The differences in power, technology, efficiency, training, professionalism, bravery and execution between the militaries of the US and Russia is stark, and that has been made all the more clear by Russia's showcased ineptitude. Face it, man. Your favorite military sucks bad.

However, I believe it is a short-sighted take to compare the fight in Afg to the fight in Ukraine. Ukraine has received the best missile technology from us, plus missile aided guidance. Whether you like Russia or not, you can’t deny that it is facing US technology + us intelligence.
