Maybe you're a visual learner (if at all). Picture a mountain of evidence. A BIG one. Now, we'll allow you to remove "pee tape" from the base. And as an undeserved bonus, we'll let you take out a few more, just for the hell of it.
Do you see what's left?
If you don't STILL see a mountain, THEN expect words like "liar" and "cultist" and "shi*** human being" and so many others to justifiably come your way.
Got it? Good.
Please list all the things that comprise the mountain.
Bank fraud on which the banks testified on behalf of the Trump Org?
Sexual assault that took place 30 plus years ago with no evidence other than the claim of the alleged victim? A story that's nuts on the face of it (the very famous Trump assaults a woman in a Manhattan dept store and nobody saw anything and nothing was reported). A trial only made possible by the NY law being changed.
Taking classified docs home as did Biden and every other president?
Sorry, as you know, you're missing the vast majority of the mountain.
And, your cute little habit of asking people to repeat the news to you got old the first of a million times that you've tried it.
Believing in Jesus is the smart play. if there is a Jesus, you have eternal after life and if there isn’t, then what’s the harm?
if you don’t believe, and there is, then you rot in hell (with Fauci, Biden and all the other mass murderers out there).
it’s an easy decision.
So, you believe in Jesus only because the whole God thing MIGHT be true? You know that is insincere and God would know that. So, you've let a religion control your rational thinking. How sad for you.
Why do you think that your God is the right one? You do know that there are ~3,000 Gods that are worshipped and prayed to by people on Earth today, right? You do know that the vast majority of those belong to religions that say you need to accept their God as the one true God or else you go to their version of Hell, right?
Why would a God, ANY GOD, create a situation on Earth where the majority of the people are going to go to hell to BURN FOR ETERNITY? And, the defining thing there is just pretty much where you were born. Sounds pretty evil if you ask me and not worthy of praise.
I’ve been told by a very smart person that Catholicism revealed itself as the one true religion. Like the guy who told me is a genius. Big Aquinas fan.
Of course he passed major legislation...SEVERAL...on gun control, on infrastruction on bringing high tech jobs here (CHIPs and Science Act), on marijuana laws, and that's not even all. You're dreaming, brother. It's ok to dream, but better get that ice cream ready.
*infrastructure. Good grief
"Infrastruction" is a VERY rarely used synonym for "civil engineering schooling."
Ultimately, I actually don't mind that the Supreme Court is weighing in on this. Time for America to decide it is either a nation of laws or not. The Supreme Court's stamp on that is definitive. I do, though, understand what it is doing...helping Trump delay other trials so that they don't happen before the election. That's not right, of course. The premise of Trump's argument is beyond insane...that a President has complete immunity. Um...no. That's the definition of a dictator. I THINK the Supreme Court won't go along with that. I THINK that Justice Thomas will be the only one to side with Trump here, but I don't trust those f*ckers at all.
Trump says he has been unfairly treated, but that is the exact opposite of what is true. He has been given pass after pass, treated with kid gloves this whole time.
So, here's a question...If the Supreme Court decides that Presidents have complete immunity while Joe Biden is still in office, would it be ok for Biden to have Seal Team 6 take out Trump? If the answer to that is NO (and it should be NO), then this Presidential immunity thing is crap.
200 million people have a right to know if Trump is guilty or innocent of the charges of attempting to illegally stay in office and thwart the official proceedings transferring the office to the duly elected winner. We deserve to know if we are voting for a felon or not.
The supreme court put their own opinion above the rights of citizens of this country by guaranteeing this case will not take place before the election. They put their own opinion over the public's need for Justice. They could have taken this up last December when Smith asked them to but they did not. They could have delivered this granting of Cert in one day. But they did not. They could demand that both sides get in there in make their cases i one week. But they did not. There is abundant precedent for the Supreme court to act quickly in the interest of the country but they chose to slow walk it for Trump.
The chances of this case ever going to trial are now 50/50 because if Trump is elected his new DOJ will kill it immediately.
This is an embarrassment to the US on an national level and international scale.
1. "Conservatives" don't care about embarrassment, justice, or democratic principles
2. Americans will once again reject the orange menace in November, and even then Rs won't quit following him.
Oh...and yes you are akin to Christ-fearing children. In fact, many of you fools use as a compliment, "he's a good God-fearing man." Some fool out there would describe you that way. And yes, you have fallen for a fable. You believe there's an omnipotent all-knowing deity in the sky with absolutely ZERO evidence of that and ZERO evidence of Hell and ZERO evidence of Heaven. Foolish.
That's what happens when people like you and the Boebert's renounce our Lord (J. Christ) who is the most feared man who ever lived. But people like you don't understand that, because of your obstinacy and secular delusions. Those Boebert kids look like total spastic geeks.
So, where's your messiah now, Senor Pole? Eh? Heh heh. Goofballs.

I’m no historian, only act like one, but far as Christianity is concerned, the Orthodox were before the Catholics and did not have a King interpret their Bible.
"Matt Gaetz just confirmed that Hunter Biden didn't invoke his 5th Amendment right even a single time today. Let's compare: - Eric Trump - 500 Times - Donald Trump - 440 Times - Hunter Biden - 0 Times
Now who are the liars and crooks?
LAPTOP !!! CRACK !!! HOOKERS !!!
(compare and contrast with the ever-upstanding Trump Family)
I did not vote for the damn Republican house that prevented the bipartisan solution to the border crisis. But those who voted for those cowards marching to Trump and his desire to block border solutions are responsible.
this is going to be very interesting - Supreme Court hearing Trump's immunity claims. 6-3 here we come!
Don't get too excited.. this is a conservative court so they are helping him delay so the underlying trial doesn't conflict with the election. BUT they are going to side with the lower court's determination.
If we were a truly open and modest country, the U.S. State Department would put out an official communication to the whole world, perhaps to include a reading at the UN:
In case any of you thought that you were missing something, we DID just need a panel of judges to decide whether or not our President can do ANYTHING that he wants, up to and including extra-judicial killings of our own citizens.
And yes, we ARE the country that's been going around the world for generations preaching and teaching and mentoring about THE RULE OF LAW.
Additionally - and again, you're NOT missing anything - our very highest court now needs to MAKE SURE that those judges got it right about our president not being able to doing WHATEVER the f*** he wants.
In that era, those were the cultural norms. A modern parallel might be a woman attending church services in extremely revealing clothing or lingerie or going topless in public.
The Apostle Paul has simply stated that women should not be flagrant or excessively loud or frenzied during a church gathering. Just as clothing should reflect a controlled, reasonable person, so too should behavior in a church service reflect godly peace. Again, that was the culture of those times which is not our culture today.
Let's get back to the main topic as you are derailing here. Thank you
ok so now we understand. The bible is not literal, it is figurative. It is meant to be interpreted by each generation. It is what you think it means. It is a changing document.
Seems it is exactly an 'in-between.'
Seems wildly contrasted to your earlier statement:
"You don't get to pick & choose what to believe in the Bible. Either it's all true or it's all false. There is no in-between."
It was a very silly notion, typical of black or white thinking ( Trumper type thinking?) that you have to believe all or none of the Bible.
Don't get too excited.. this is a conservative court so they are helping him delay so the underlying trial doesn't conflict with the election. BUT they are going to side with the lower court's determination.

Good post, but damn the truth about our country hurts.

I can tell you are uneducated, that is not my philosophy but it’s certainly a good one. since when does Jesus care why you believe? I have my own reasons. we make our own beds
The fact that you think believing or not in a God that there is no evidence for is making our own beds is pathetic. You should do things that are good and moral without needing the threat of punishment. Does it hurt when that rope attached to your nosering is pulled?
If only the Christians agreed that character is important and that rules out Trump. This country would be so much better off.
Kaitlan Collins @kaitlancollins Mitt Romney on what's influencing his vote in November besides policy: character. “Having a president who is so defaulted of character would have an enormous impact on the character of America. And for me that's the primary consideration," he tells me.

Of course, the WORSE thing about this is the citizens of that country. If this was JUST some dumb technical legal thing (or non-dumb technical legal thing that this non-lawyer is ignorant about), it would be one thing.
But no, even if the Supreme Court agrees with the other judges, there are STILL tens of millions of Americans willing to vote for a guy who has made it crystal clear that he should be able to do WHATEVER he wants as President (or even as EX-president).
THAT is the real problem....and no court can make THAT go away.
200 million people have a right to know if Trump is guilty or innocent of the charges of attempting to illegally stay in office and thwart the official proceedings transferring the office to the duly elected winner. We deserve to know if we are voting for a felon or not.

CORRECT!
Trump will still have many rabid followers even when he loses again, but this will once and for all end his grip on the Republican Party. I'm not sure where the GOP will go, but this populist nonsense will end. There are some fools in elected positions who will still spew Trumper stuff, but it will fade away.
Larry Hogan, John Kasich, those are models for what conservatives should look like going forward. That will not happen though.
I will add this...there are many people on the LEFT who are concerned that Trump has opened up a pandora's box and that there will be others following him that will be as bad or worse. I think that is a fear that is unfounded and will not happen. Trump was probably uniquely positioned to form the cult that he did. He was famous. He gave off a vibe of success about him (even though that's BS). He is a narcissist who thrives on attention, so when he ran in 2016, the vibe he gave off (and even I was impressed at the time) was that he was a hard worker. He out campaigned Hillary by a TON. I didn't know at the time that he was a narcissist (or a serial liar or a criminal), so I was supremely impressed with his campaigning. I didn't know that he would be a lazy ass once he got in the job. His campaining was just fueled by his narcissistic need for attention and adulation. So, I don't think there's anyone out there like Trump. You would have to find a wealthy (or seemingly wealthy) and successful (or seemingly successful) person who is also a narcissist and a criminal with authoritarian leanings who doesn't believe they will ever be held accountable in a court of law. The only person who is at all like that that I can think of is Elon Musk, and he can't become President because he wasn't born here.
Could someone like that appear one day? Sure. Anytime soon? Nope. In my lifetime (which really might not be that far away)? Nope.
2 HUGE points to remember about the Jan. 6 "insurrection" ... Most of the protesters were carrying flags to express their love for the country. Very, very few had guns.
AND president Trump urged then to march down to the Capitol PEACEFULLY.

Doesn't matter. The intention was to stop the certification of Biden's victory, and they DID succeed in delaying it. It's still an insurrection.
in·sur·rec·tion /ˌinsəˈrekSH(ə)n/ noun a violent uprising against an authority or government.
The uprising was violent AND purposeful. Why do you condone this behavior?

And what else?
Oh, pick me! Pick me!
"Proud Boys, stand back and stand by."
"It will be wild."
"And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore."
Trump invited the mob and then incited them once they were there. He didn't want metal detectors used because he said if they had guns they weren't meant for him. He didn't invite them there for ANOTHER DAY, nope, he chose the day and the time that the certification of Biden's win was going on.

Good post. But Trump has corrupted perceptions of multiple institutions and it’s questionable if they can be easily repaired. A good portion of the country believes in the same way Russian citizens believe. Namely that voting is useless. Everything is corrupt and not to be trusted.
This apathy and disgust towards the rule of law could easily usher in a Trump 2.0.
