This whole thing is only being blown out of proportion because the media wants to foment class discord. We all know that poor people commit 99% of the crime, but when a few rich people do something wrong it gets 24/7 news coverage so that people can sit back and pretend that the wealthy are the real criminals. Way to deflect. Rich white people are the biggest crooks , but because they run the justice system, they bend the rules to take care of their own - daily. Fact.
The colleges themselves are the real frauds. So if one bribes about $400,000 or less, it is a crime; into the $millions then the kid gets in and the parents get a building named after them. Got it! While there continues to be lots of coverage of this scandal in the media, the fate of the actual criminal, William "Rick" Singer, has completely disappeared from the story.
It seems he was scheduled to be sentenced on June (where the prosecutors were said to be planning on asking for "some' jail time....this for the guy who concocted the whole scheme, made millions from it, and actively sought out the parents -- some of whom may be facing heavy jail time).
However, that date came and went and he was not sentenced and is apparently walking around a free man today.
Any insight as to when and if this guy will actually be sentenced?
How about why the media no longer covers his status?
