Yes, lots of people cheat in all aspects of life. And if you get caught (or in Cam's case voluntarily admit to cheating) there are consequences. If there were no consequences then the integrity of the sport is negatively impacted, as it signals that the rules don't matter.
If Cam really didn't think cheating was a big deal he should lean into it. Start cutting courses, body check his competitors out of the way, have Matt Choi follow him on a bike. Really stand by his word
