Let's say we banned all guns, and within a yr some trans lunatic stabs 6 people to death or detonates a bomb and kills 40, or goes haywire in a vehicle and runs over 50 people at a parade or playground. Can we have the guns back?

It's often like that. Late in the second term of the Obama Administration, VP Biden and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo gave a talk at the McBurney YMCA on 14th Street in Manhattan. To use the gym or pool that day before they arrived, I had to get screened via a metal detector. There were dogs nearby to sniff for other things. There were massive numbers of heavily armed security personnel to protect the Vice President and the Governor.
Yet these same politicians were adamant in severely restricting gun ownership to people who do not have huge security details to protect themselves.

For every kid killed in a school there's 500 other kids killed outside a school and you don't pretend to care about any of them because you haven't been told to.
With the $100+ billion we've sent to Ukraine and the trillions we wasted arming the Taliban we could put a platoon of Marines in every school in America indefinitely.

I propose we enforce medieval style torture if these assailants are captured alive. True, in most scenarios these people end their own lives or are gunned down. However, the risk of horrific torture penalty may lead some to think twice about it.

Anyone who's willing to commit such a disgusting crime is an atheist or in the case of certainly religions believe they have permission from on high to carry it out.

The Colorado Springs shooter targeted Club Q venue during Transgender Awareness Week. It was not a "gay bar" as described in the media, the Q is for queer, specifically inclusive of trans and non-binary identities. You are going along with a killer's trolling of a community he set out to murder.
