That finger injury that put Teare in the hospital cost him a shot in the final.

Ahhh damn. Subpar field for the final. Tebogo and Hughes should've made it.
Agree. But they really blew it, and the 100m is unforgiving.
Good to see AHSB in, though.
Seville, I think he was pretty much at his limit. He will be interesting next year—and even this year, some guys like Bromell might fall apart in the final.
Something’s sprint-wrong tonight in Eugene, maybe it’s the non-commital weather, maybe lack of sun, barometer fluctuating, idk. It’s just not sprint-fast, and so far, guys have not been “on”. Tebogo and Hughes stumble badly; Flake can’t get it going; Bromell flakes out and misses an active cycle;
Kerley, CC, Seville, Bracy, and Simbine were more solid—especially the first 3. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were the medalists.
Well this 1500m USA team is heading towards the weakest ever in history…. Can we even get one on to the semi-final?
That was embarrassing
TEARE GOES HOME DEVASTATED!
Poor Pookie.

Not a surprise at all about Teare. 1st time in a major. So typical of American 1500m runners. They think 3:40 is an accomplishment; meanwhile, the rest of the world considers 3:30 an accomplishment.
I doubt teare thinks of a 3:40 as an accomplishment lol, he like anyone else there would wanna run 3:30
Well that was embarrassing by Teare. Really really embarrassing. I can’t remember the last US runner to be this bad in an Olympics or Worlds.
I didn't have high hopes for teare...seems like a good guy...maybe one of the other USA men make it thru...
Damn I didn’t expect Teare to medal and maybe not even make the final but he got chewed up and spit out in the prelim! That was hard to watch…
There are some real monsters in the women's shot put.

Cooper looked amazing at USA’s
wrong time to have a bad day
Only analysis really needed here. He just sucked today.
Otherwise I thought Tefera/Hoare looked solid…maybe Tim should go back to controlling at the front, got dicey there though he looked pretty easy after regaining his balance
Like, how is that possible -- off of a 3:35 pace he just dies? absent picking up a hamstring injury or something mid-race.
Hoare looked great out there.

Very sad to see. Hopes fading that Hocker and Teare can carry on Centro’s legacy.
wow teare seemed to throw in the towel mentally at 500-450 to go

Not looking good at this point. Even more embarrassing considering the mile is the premier event for most US runners growing up.
Remember we can claim Hoare as one of our own
y'all said cooper was getting a medal LMAOOO.
LAST IN HEATS................WTF
Cheruiyot with a masterclass in how not to run a 1500.
