Another user said, “People had to endure a lot of mud slinging and vitriol over the last 2 years. Why would they compromise this now? And ppl in the UK also remember this.”
Two registered nurses said they lost faith in the medical community.
“What is even worse is people now refuse medical care because they don’t trust the profession anymore. I was a nurse for 31 years and understand what they are feeling. I have lost faith in our profession after all this.”

Twitter user, DOCTOR FROM NEW YORK, claimed in his tweet that blood transfusion of mRNA vaccinated person to children, especially if vaccinated within 30 days can cause “life-threatening clot or emboli that can kill the child.”

The story is the massive increase in Covid deaths per 100,000 people (Americans) once the jab got rolled out. The NY Times tries to make this about Trump voters.
I saw this article. According to experts, the current 400 deaths/week could be reduced to 50/week just by taking Paxlovid (and monoclonal antibodies when existing medications make Paxlovid dangerous).
It seems to me that the author inadvertently makes a strong case for no more vaccinations. Why get vaccinated again if Paxlovid almost eliminates the risk of death?

What really has driven the covid response is an enormous difference in perceived risk driven by political worldview.

The self-proclaimed embodiment of science joined Stephen Colbert’s ‘The Late Show’ on Thursday to dutifully peddle some more propaganda about the failed and dangerous Covid booster shots.
In a shameless and unfunny attempt at humor, Fauci was walked by Colbert to go receive his booster shot as they instructed Americans to take another dose of the experimental jab in order to “enjoy the holidays safely.” To top it off, and show how serious he is, Fauci wore a pair of “sexy cat ears” when he gave his orders.
Remember, this is about “saving lives,” folks.
As John Nolte of The Blaze points out, this “skit” was nothing but “pure political propaganda” designed to accomplish two goals:
“The first is to shame those of us who have not gotten our hundredth booster, or whatever the number is now. And I say this as someone who has been vaccinated and boosted. How many more of these things are we supposed to get? And why should we believe a disgraced liar like Anthony Fauci about anything?
Colbert’s second goal is to make the vaxx-fanatics feel all righteous and morally pure about themselves. But, most of all, it is meant to make the hopelessly smug Colbert feel good about himself.”

Ok, but, you’re not really refuting Fisky’s point that Paxlovid & mAbs have relegated the vaccines to next to useless. Layers of mitigation also include convalescence, even with multiple infections.
So I don’t fully disagree with you about “layers” in general, but there are multiple ways to achieve said layers. Carmine makes a good point that the NYT ran a political hit piece, when, in reality, the story should be that deaths are still unacceptably high, even with and especially after the vaccine rollout.
I ask again, MDs particularly, is this new bivalent booster (literally only vetted in mice) a good idea for a convalescent patient who has successfully overcome two separate Covid infections, in a low risk group?

My guess is Colbert has a financial agreement with Fauci, who arranged a payment to Colbert for a certain number of appearances on the show. At this point, why would anyone in the world of pop culture go near Fauci ?
