To get an individual at large bid, people don’t have to miss out on qualifying individually by one spot, nor do they have to race NXR. Alex Maier finished 32nd at NXR last year and he got an at large based on his resume. Grant Gardner didn’t run NXR last year and was invited for an at-large to go to NXN but he declined the invitation.

Sure he's shut his season down but that doesn't change the fact he's absolutely one of the top-5 guys in the country.

all of these rankings seem to be erratic on how they rank athletes who have been injured, or who have raced fast in the past but no so much recently. personally, I would rank Daschbach #2 cause when he was running that is where he was. On the girls side, they have Masciarelli at 2, but she has not shown anything this year to be better than 6 or so, behind Tuohy, Dudek, Hart, Starliper, Walters at least. not to say she might just win FL again, just the one competitive race she ran, she lost, perhaps due to illness.

Never mind, 3 of those LV girls that were listed as entered in the championship race are actually running in the open race

Jenna Hutchins won FL South in a fast time (16:53)

2k splits for championship boys race: Satellite (FL) is second behind Loudoun Valley by only 18 points. LV’s #2 guy Hasle is not listed in the results for 2k. Maybe his time didn’t register at that split. Final results won’t be posted until after the ceremony.

Southeast Championship girls:

Loudoun Valley and Pine Crest are leading the girls race at 2k as expected.

FM Boys with a big lead at 2.5K in NXN NY

Starliper handily wins FL NE in 17:03 (last year Masciarelli was 17:12 I think)

Yup...Burnt Hills second, Shen 3rd, Saranac Lake 4th, Beaver River 5th, Guilderland only 6th.

Saranac has no seniors. Good potential for them to go to NXN next year.

Saranac Lake is tiny... if they were to qualify, they'd have to be the smallest non-private school to make it. Would be awesome.

Saranac Lake's class size is around 86 kids. For them to make NXN would be epic.
