What was Garland supposed to do about Trump's documents case? Trump took documents that he shouldn't have taken, refused several requests to return them, lied about the documents and obstructed the investigation via lies and moving documents around. Former government employees have been imprisoned for conduct less egregious.

There must be some creepy stuff in that House Report. They don't want to release it because they know that decent citizens with integrity and ethics, like yourself, will turn on Gaetz. Don't forget the most serious charges against Trump in that Florida case. The DOJ served Trump a subpoena for Mar-Log security surveillance video after a whistleblower at Mar-Log informed law enforcement that Trump's valet was moving documents around and hiding them. When Trump's learned about the video subpoena, he ordered his valet and the property manager to destroy all the security video. Absolute obstruction of justice. Like you said, normal criminals get sent to prison for conduct like that.

So you are saying that a president should be able to break the law by taking classified documents, refuse to return them, fail to secure them, lie about having them, discuss them with a reporter and keep them forever just because he was a President? Congress has passed laws about classified documents that do not have a "but ex-Presidents can keep them" exception, and specifically passed laws specifying what documents a President can take when he leaves office. But you think Trump can say 'laws don't apply to me'?
