Kerr actually ran a perfect race for him, there's nothing more he could have done. Sometimes, there's just someone better. For all the grief Kerr gets on these boards, he's actually a lot more magnanimous about his competitors than Jakob (who won't even say their names). Kerr was first to congratulate Hocker and he had a moment with Nuguse as well. Kerr lost with a lot more class today than Jakob ever has.

I think the depth of talent in this event is just historically poor - really it's been 400m runners not fast enough to compete that have just populated the event.
Now we have arguably the worlds two best 400m flat runners in Femke and SML both doing the hurdles....
You sound sour. Sydney started out as a 400 hurdler not a flat 400 runner. That is the event she went to the Rio Olympics to compete in when she was 16 and has focused on.

But it’s a correct presumption, not because of the skin color, but because a lot of athletes aren’t articulate. It helps to point out that not only is she articulate, she is so as a minority as well.

Just got back to the hotel from Stade de France. Was sitting on the far turn second deck. The anticipation just kept growing until the last lap with the order mostly unchanged. Then the moves went, and I saw Cole hugging the rail and advancing and knew that if the window remained open, he was gonna win. Screaming at the top of my lungs as he reeled Kerr in inch by inch. What an amazing race, was so consumed with Cole that I had no idea Yared took bronze until I saw him running with the flag. What a night. Gabby dominant too. Crowd was awesome, they willed that French steepler to fourth place from way further back. Stadium is really sick too with the roof and lighting. Wow, best 1500 race ever? So glad I went

There was one nfl wide receiver who I was incredibly surprised by how articulate he was - asked about rate cuts / Powell and delivered a good answer. He was white too so it’s not a “Race” thing. But turns out he went to Wharton
As much strength and speed Bol carries over the final 200m, I think SML will be far ahead over the early phase of the race and won by half a second at least
Bol's great SML is just that rare true genetic gift (and sadly is painfully aware of it her self I don't like her tbh but I cannot deny her ability)
Femke is actually the one who starts a lot faster between the two of them. 24 low. She is used to go all out in the first part and rely on her endurance for the second part
Just because Bol actually races and routinely beats her competition, it doesn't mean she is close to SML. There really isn't a meaningful rivalry tbh—SML is in her own league.
Unfortunately Bol just happens to be in an era with SML. If she was 10 years younger or older, she would have probably dominated the 400 flat and hurdles.

So are all these guys on drugs? I have noticed that when a kenyan wins especially with incredible time, everyone on letsrun scream drugs, doping, this is a joke, and all that. What makes us think this is legit and the other winners aren't legit?
