Robert Young fakes run across America

Did it slow him down or the RV? We still don't know if he is actually running it. Or did he slow down because that is all he is capable of under the scrutiny that he is being monitored. Either way, I don't expect him to finish. My guess is he will pull a "hero injury stunt" soon and go home.

Really, another sign of the fakeness of this adventure is how much time and effort RY and his crew apparently have to read, respond to and be affected by social media discussion. If a small group of, what, 3 people were really singularly focused on getting one of them across the country by foot faster than anyone else ever, would they really have time to bother with what a bunch of armchair observers such as ourselves have to say on their efforts? From what I recall of reading Marshall Ulrich's transcon story, his crew got about as exhausted as he did, and there was really no time for anything other than run, eat, sleep and dealing with the logistics of those basic things.

Do his defenders want this thread to end? Put the watch on and run. We'll see the route, heart rate, cadence and change in elevation. Just like anyone with a 235 can.

We don't want to hear about his past races or where he ran them. If he was abused as a child it has nothing to do with this run. Whether he is a good or a bad guy has no relevance here and nobody wants to hear about his charity.

All we want is proof he is actually doing this run because the video posted earlier showed he is lying.. Put on the 235. If you don't want to do that then admit you got busted.

Cut the crap already and prove he is running.

agreed. We have the technology such that my boyfriend can livetrack my walk to/from work everyday to confirm my safe arrival. If we can do that, surely we can track someone's world record attempt.

Correct. What Rob doesn't realize is that he now is accountable to LRC and must prove the validity of his data. He doesn't get to dictate the terms of proving he has ran the entire course. We do.

The longer he waits to come clean, the worse his fall will be when the media picks up on this.

Each day he lives the lie is only digging the hole deeper.

I'm near his route and will be making a long unannounced video recording of their journey. Need something to do! Kind of fun actually to do some investigative work.

What is great about this case unlike Rossi is we can actually stop a cheater in progress. Keep up the pressure on the facebook page as well.

Rob hasn't run another 6 minute mile split since 6am ET on June 7.

Looks like he started up that evening at 7pm ET, ran 48.65 miles through 7pm June 8. Then 47.38 miles since 7pm yesterday through now. So that's 2 straight much more legitimate looking days - his fastest mile since 6am June 7 was an 8 minute mile, he has a couple of random 10 minute miles, and most of the rest is around 15-20 minute mile pace. He only took about 5 hours or so off each of the last 2 days.

Other than from 11am ET til 8 tonight, where they apparently turned off the tracker for 10 hours and had covered 12 miles by the time they turned it back on. Though I'm loathe to accuse him of cheating at a pace of 12 miles in 10 hours ;)

Has he been cruising all along and is now just trying to make it come down to the wire for the drama? Is he now trying to turn the remainder of his attempt into a legit attempt on the fly? Can he learn how to multi-day in a few days before the inspection crew arrives? Is he preparing to feign injury? Are they simply driving the van slower? Is it just too hard to read and post on this thread while running 6 minute miles?!
