It's hearsay. If the committee wants to do this the right way, then interview the Secret Service agent who was driving the limo during this alleged incident. So far, this is utter BS.
Hearsay is not a lie. You called her a liar. I asked you why she would lie. You didn't answer the question. You deflected with hearsay. Answer the question.
P.S. I'm not a Dem. If asking "why would she lie" make me a Dem., then what question would make me a Rep?
Hearsay is not how you gather evidence and she already perjured herself when she said that Trump grabbed the steering wheel. Impossible from the back seat. Take your "L" and move on. She wasn't there.
If you want the truth, you need to get the driver to testify.
Trump knew the mob was armed and encouraged them to March on the Capitol anyway. Crime .
Once the mob succeeded in taking over the Capitol, trump abandoned his job as c in c and wanted the veep hung. Crime.
arrest him.
Cassidy Hutchinson on Mark Meadows: "And I remember Pat [Cipollone] saying to him something to the effect of, 'The rioters have gotten to the Capitol, Mark. We need to go down and see the President now.' And Mark looked up at him and said, 'He doesn't want to do anything, Pat.'"
Trump cares, goddamit! Trump is a teetotaler to the hilt degree. The stench of alcohol disgusts him, and then he's got this goddam rogue lawyer pounding drinks like a sieve, slopping swill all over the carpet and the drapes, and giving him alcoholically disqualified advice (anything of 0.08 is statutorily defective advice) on huge matters of the day.
That's who cares! Would we even be where we are if that drunken tit-mouse could hold his booze?
So what if Trump cares if Rudy was drunk or not.
What does that have to do with this scary, scary, insurrection?
Jesus Christ, we've got the goddam President trying to beat up the Secret Service now! It's goddam mayhem! Mayday! Mayday! Down goes Frazier!
Trump wanted to go to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, after urging supporters to march there to oppose certification of the election of President Joe Biden.

Homeboy was riding shotgun when he went on his tour at Walter reed hospital. The don doesn’t ride in the back seat my bro.
-On January 2, Mark Meadows told his chief of staff that Jan. 6 could get "very, very bad."
-M.A.G.A. protestors were armed and Trump wanted to remove metal detectors and allow them to be let through security. "They aren't here to hurt ME" is a quote Meadows' COS attributes to him.
-Trump attacked his head of security and tried to commandeer his transport vehicle when he was told he could not participate in the march.
-Rudy Guiliani and Roger Stone, who were in league with the Oath Keepers, had set up a "war room" at the Willard Hotel on the night of Jan 5. Meadows was in constant contact with them, at the instruction of Donald Trump.
-According to Meadows, in response to "hang Mike Pence" chants, Trump "thinks Mike deserves it. He doesn't think they're doing anything wrong."
-Meadows and Guiliani each sought pardons after Jan. 6
-Trump attorney's believed they could be charged "with every crime imaginable"
-Cheney ends by showing text messages from (for now) anonymous Trump friends/officials who clearly attempted to tamper with witnesses ahead of their interviews with the committee. These idiots actually put their tampering in writing. They are f*cked.
Long past time for the DOJ to start taking action against these criminals. It should have happened the day Biden assumed office, but better late than never. This is outrageous.
Bruh you've just spammed this thread w like 10 posts about the steering wheel stunt. Even if it is a lie, which it probably isn't, it's an incredibly minor detail and doesn't indicate all the rest of the statements she and the many other Republicans who have testified should be thrown out
The January 6 Select Committee held a hearing to reveal "recently obtained evidence" Tuesday. Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, said that Trump insisted on going to the Capitol despite re...
You do realize, that the Secret Service has the driver and fellow agent in the front seat when transporting the President- those are the rules and they do NOT deviate from that.

I destroyed your witness. Enjoy your loss.
Lol you just repeated yourself over and over. Her entire testimony could be thrown out and it wouldn't matter. Yelling the loudest in a debate doesn't mean you've won.
DNC corporate Dems love this stuff because it makes them look like they are doing something without having to actually advance legislation that improves people's material conditions and it rakes in campaign cash. Jan 6 always seemed like a pathetic spasm of anger by a bunch of Qanon/Trumpers. It was almost sad to see them at their big revolutionary moment stop in their tracks when they broke into congress and just take a bunch of selfies because they had no clue what to do.
But as the hearings go on, it is getting hard to ignore the amount of organization and premeditation behind Jan 6. Rioters were given tours of the recesses of Congress before Jan 6 and took pictures of key access points. A slew of Trumpers asked for pardons immediately after. Fake electors. Trump asking election officials to find votes. And now evidence that Trump wanted to go to Congress and be with the rioters. This is starting to make it really hard to take the position that Dems just need to let it go.
A sitting president knew that he lost an election and decided to create a lie about election fraud in order to stir up protests and court challenges. On Jan 6, the president then holds a huge rally as congress is wrapping up the electoral college process and tells protesters to go to congress to "fight". When the president learns that there is violence and people are storming congress, he wants to go be with them. It is now to the point where you have to come up with some really good reasons why Jan 6 wasn't an attempted coup against the US Government.
W Bush and his administration got away with lying to start the Iraq war and committed torture. The people running the big banks got away with the financial collapse of 2008. Each time, there was an exercise of political discretion on whether to hold prior administrations and those around them accountable or move forward. As strong as the impulse is to move forward with many important issues of the day and let go of the whole Jan 6 thing, it is getting really hard to dismiss the fact that a sitting president and those around him tried to overthrow the government.
I'm sure that Trump will "TRUTH tweet" that she is a liar, didn't know her, or she was bad at her job, that people didn't like her, that she came on to him and he turned her down, felt sorry for her because she was working hard so he just had her kept around....

The woman is a great story teller and a liar.
Not so fast, Disco. The Double Jeopardy clause of the Fifth Amendment does not prohibit federal and state prosecution for the same operative assault. If indeed, as Meadows alleges, Trump sucker punched the Secret Service agent while on federal property, he can be subject to dual prosecution. There is no Presidential Privilege here as the agent was operating a motor vehicle at the time. The only question is whether the assault of the federal agent occurred in Virginia or in the District.

When the Deputy Chief of Staff (in his office) conveyed (to Hutchinson) what had happened to the SS agent in the president's vehicle, that SS agent was sitting right there, and did not in any way correct or disagree with the DCOS' characterization of the events. I think the transcript will confirm this.
