A professor at Columbia wrote an article calling the scenes of Hamas's attacks "awesome." An associate prof at Cornell was "exhilerated" by the attack and re-iterated his full support for Hamas in an interview. Are there not sufficient career opportunities for far-left whackjobs in academia already?

That analysis, performed by the consulting firm Mercer in July, is based on executive pay at 12 universities that the authors said share reputation, cultural and strategic similarities with New College.

WASHINGTON — A former Republican candidate for Michigan governor was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in prison for committing a federal crime during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Ryan Kelley, who was arrested during the Michigan gubernatorial primary in 2022, pleaded guilty this July to a misdemeanor count of entering and remaining on restricted grounds, admitting he "rushed past U.S. Capitol police officers" and "used his hands to support another rioter who was pulling a metal bike rack onto the scaffolding." Prosecutors also said he ripped a tarp on the inauguration stage.

It would be interesting to know what the key contributors are to persistent Trumpism? Is it mainly the relatively new and easy ability for Americans to get all of their "news" from sources 100% catering to their existing views? If Trump came along in 1975 or '85 or even '95, could we/would we have gotten persistent Trumpism? Apparent list of key variables:

1) The latent (and not) idiocy of Americans.

2) The unique, apparently, ability of Trump to take advantage of #1.

3) Ample right wing-only news/commentary.

4) Other demographic/sociological factors that I'm not addressing?

I understand that this is mostly and echo chamber, but why get defensive about someone asking for the current potus to call out someone in his own party? I understand this is meant to be an echo chamber for Joe Biden cheerleading, and honestly I haven’t much to critique him on in regards to his rhetoric surrounding the current Israeli conflict.

Now, how about try to have a discussion without deflecting. Biden, and the Democrat leadership, should get Tlaib and others in line. Her comments were premature, inflammatory, and misinformed potentially leading to further escalation of tensions and violence. Do you agree or disagree? lots of factors but mainly, he's a brilliant politician who came at the right time. His two main ideas: anti-immigration and 'it's ok to be a terrible person, don't let the libs make you feel bad about it' hit home exactly.

The media side is important too...we used to get our news from actual quality sources. CBS, ABC, NBC, NYT, WSJ tell the truth the best they can. Fox and 'electronicjihad' does not. And that's let people think they are patriotic by attempting a coup. Incalculable damage to the nation.
