I think this is probably fair and accurate.
But he unintentionally became the (arguably) most scrutinized person on the planet. With that kind of scrutiny, stuff turns up.
Trump threatened the judge in a trial where that judge gets to decide if he'll lose his entire business empire. The GOP Speaker is being removed by his own caucus for funding the government to prevent a shutdown and causing people to lose their jobs and paychecks. Clarence Thomas had to recuse himself in a Supreme Court case covering his wife's involvement in the coup.
