He defrauded the govt by overstating the value of some of his holdings?
He injured the markets and the people of New York State by repeatedly and fraudulently securing loans.
How did he injure any market or the people of New York? He took out loans to do construction projects employing tradesmen, bankers, realtors, etc. How is that harming New Yorkers?

It’s not unusual for Trumpers to make arguments that have no legal bearing on Trumps criminal liability. Remember when Trumpers contorted themselves defending Trump saying he could and did declassify all his stolen documents? None of that was relevant.
Today Trumpers are claiming his fraud is victimless. The statutes Trump is being charged with don’t need victims. They simply need to prove he committed fraud. Get it?
As a side note, it is very common for white collar criminals to argue their crimes were victimless too. It doesn’t matter at all.
just more proof that Trump is working the political game with his right wing helpers. Nothing legal about it.
I don't know what his reasons are. Expert Legal background people are speculating that he has thrown in the towel on this one legally and is strictly fighting a political propaganda war. (remember that he knows even more incriminating tax fraud stuff that he has committed than his prosecutors).
If he has thrown in the towel, this would solidify our already known belief that he is a blatant liar by saying that it is unfair that he is not getting a jury trial. Can't be unfair Donny if you made that choice you blithering idiot.
What's the case?
He defrauded the govt by overstating the value of some of his holdings?
I'm not even a lolyer but even I can spot 2 major problems here.
1. It's legal to overstate the value of your property. It's the bank's job to figure out if it's reasonable or not.
2. These things happened from 2011 to 2013 and they waited until the 2024 election cycle to do anything about it. Mmhmm, yup, makes perfect sense. "The wheels of justice grind slowly" lmaoooo

i prefer legal experts over political spinsters.
All you have proven is that James fulfilled her duty to Soros to create a case. Same thing for Bragg. The lesson is that if you pay a DA or Attorney General enough money, they can find something to charge a politician you dislike with a crime.
“Theft, property crimes, drug crimes, etc. are not crimes at all. Protesting is a crime only if it is performed by some who does not share my ideology.”
- American “liberals” and basically every rotting city’s DA.

So you aren’t even arguing that Trump committed what was termed “persistent fraud”. You just have a problem with charging him at this moment in time.
What is the date you would have preferred Trump to be charged where it would have been ok with you?

Here is the problem with your faulty reasoning. While there are instances of fraud that occurred from 2011 to 2013. They did not cease then. The persistent fraud never stopped right up until his CFO got busted.

"We lowered crime in American cities by around 80% over the last 30 years."

I’m saying that banks have underwriters, insurers have risk assessors, and cities have assessors that make their own determinations regardless of what an individual puts in their financial disclosures. I’ve sent off a number of personal financial statements through the years and estimating the value of a property or a business is a little bit of a grey area. I assume that banks, insurers and assessors all have standard rules that they apply regardless of what an individual claims. Get over it. There is no victim here. Banks made money, insurers made money, the city made money, the workers made money, etc. Insurers actually would have made more money.
Criminality is accepted and sometimes embraced by the party of Trump, not so in the democratic party.
Then why do they support Biden, Obama, and the Clintons (all of whom mishandled classified items / documents). They gave Biden a month’s heads-up that they were coming to his Delaware house and they still found stuff in his garage.
Where are the criminal indictments against those people? You know, the stuff Menendez and Trump are facing?
Tucker Carlson: "Virtually nothing the liberal says is true. And the lies aren't ordinary lies, the lies are so brazen, so aggressive, and unending that it's difficult for a normal person to understand what's happening."
"Fox persuasively argues . . . that given Mr. Carlson's reputation, any reasonable viewer arrives with an appropriate amount of skepticism about the statements he makes." - Judge Vyskocil

They're coming once a Republican is in charge of the DOJ.

So, banks and insurers do their own risk assessments, therefore it is not a crime to commit a crime?

dude. Trump and his CFO have already been ruled fraudulent. Start defending the documents case or the J6 case or the GA election interference case. Your time is wasting here.
This one is over.
No matter what you say, you are not legally allowed to give banks and insurers wildly inflated and false information about your assets when asking for a loan or insurance.
It would be poetic justice for the tax assessors in Mar A Lago taxing district to put out a public statement that they will now use Trumps demanded 1.5 billion figure for their current and future assessments for taxes.
