In the M@@GA corner is Matt the pedo Gaetz leading the minority anarchist charge because $ and attention.
In the RINO corner is Kevin missing spine McQarty who is a walking contradiction - publicly worshipping the orange calf while at the same time wanting to be an adult.
And in the middle of the GQP are a vast majority of House and Senate Rs who await the inevitable collapse of the circus. They repeat trumpian trigger words all day to keep the salivating base interested for just a little longer while in their wealthy donors' interest they keep pillaging their states and worsening life for their constituents. They feel powerless, and they are... for here are their choices:
1) Ride the Trump train into another terrible loss and keep prolonging the collapse. Trump and responsible governance are not compatible and there simply are no policies left to sell under that model. This is the path they remain on.
2) Go through a nasty but quick and assertive divorce from Trump. This would certainly mean brutal losses across the Senate and House - perhaps taking them a decade to fully recover if at all. They would be effectively telling their base of angry brainwashed hopefuls "sorry but we used you". In all likelihood this would be the start of a mass reset in party identity. But how would they win back those irretrievably lost voters? Lolz...
There is a price that must be paid for the decades of lying, gaslighting and trolling of gullible rural folks. The people lose the most in all of this.
The question is what comes after trump, McQarty and McQonnel? What will what's left of the party look like in 5-10 years?
