Point is, they have lost faith in democracy and the idea of a republic and want to run it via some sort of right wing junta. They hate the urbans so much that they don't want to live under the same government as the urbans. They are done. These people *defend* J6. That's all you need to know.
I agree with most of this. But I always tend to follow the money. I don’t think the current right wing is ideological in any sense. That is just red meat for the base. All that woke inner city crime and immigration stuff is theatre to scare grandma and keep her sending money to their CPAC.
When the Soviet Union collapsed those connected became oligarchs and if you were in Putins circle of “loyals” you never had to work another day in your life. All their actions point to this as their end game.
I believe Tuberville is playing his military games not because he cares if people have abortions. But to kick the can down the road to when they can install yes men in those positions.
