Women runs 520 miles on treadmill in 7 days but doesn't get WR as Guinness says her witness doesn't count

I just listened to the first 8 minutes or so of this interview from the previous page. I am more convinced than I was before that this "record" by her is complete shit. Only really came up with the idea a few months before doing it. Didn't do any treadmill running before. Didn't really plan out nutrition. Didn't tackle the issue of sleep deprivation. Add in no history of multi-day races or any longer distance running experience. Plus what was said above....This is total crap.

Having poor physical health (losing 28 pounds in 7 days is not healthy), blisters, and was already behind the WR after day 1.

If I am honest, this sounds too good to be true. It is possible that they (Amy & Dave) went into the challenge with the firm belief that it was doable however, they probably realised after day 1 it was going to be much tougher than they ever thought. To me, their attempt was amateurish, poorly planned and poorly executed.

Yep, that's what they think.

But we don't fall for that.

Amy couldn't even run 53 Marathon distances in 53 days.

Somehow they thought running 75 miles for 7 days was not much harder and with a little cheating they could get buy.

Amy was crying after day 1 and she had only run 60 some miles if the numbers where accurate at that point.

But let's wait and see what Amy does next year in real races. If she is that good she will be in the British National Team in no time.

How much weight did Yannos Kouros, the greatest multi-day runner of all time, lose in running 643 miles in 6 days? ZERO POUNDS.

Was her handler, Dave K, torturing her by food deprivation? Was she vomiting up her intake? What was going SERIOUSLY WRONG to cause her to lose nearly a third of her body weight???

Did anyone take a before/after picture of this amazing (but unhealthy) transformation?

Having watched the yt video of her announcing this challenge of have concluded that she thought this was the running equivalent of sitting in a bath of baked beans for a week and that anyone stupid enough to try could do it.

Why is anyone even weighing her if they are going to allow her to continue after losing so much weight? If she started at 130 pounds then she lost over 20% of her body weight.

You'd think there'd be a hospital visit somewhere if that was the case...

Mr. Keighley's rant was the proof that there is nothing behind this treadmill record attempt.

Instead of pulling out the notes and report how many miles Amy did on each day he rambled on about how dare these people are who question him and Amy.

We will see in the future how Amy does in ultraraces. My guess is she will do as good as Robert Young. He said he would do a 6 day race this year but so far that didn't happen. He also didn't run any other race as far as I know.

You're giving ultra runners way too much credit. An 'elite level' ultra runner is basically just a hobby jogger who moved up distance because there was too much competition as shorter distances, The reason these stunt runners can break these records is because the current record holders are just slow, less talented runners like them. It's not like they are out there breaking 27 for the 10K. These are cheap "records."
