give them 11-minute head start to make it fair - why 28 minutes? so when running pedestrian pace they can still finish first? most people here don't like seeing minor league baseball and women marathoning -- we prefer cream of the crop

One of the most boring and predictable marathons I've seen for a while.

Hall lost by what? 10-15 seconds? His front running gave him the best shot of doing exactly what he did today: finishing in the top 3. He did all he could possibly do. A slower start leaves more guys in the game. Old Robert C. up and died. That tells you how good Hall's performance was.
