Jordan’s inability to sustain his greatness over a long period of time just can’t earn him the GOAT status.
A GOAT has to attain greatness and then sustain it. Like LeBron has. Jordan was like a firework. Showed greatness for a short period and then just faded away.
Jordan sustained his greatness long enough to win more scoring titles, more MVP awards, more championships, and more Finals MVPs than LeBron. Maybe LeBron can catch up if he plays until he's 50? lol
He couldn’t sustain it though. A bright star that faded fast.
The point that you seem to be missing is FG%, Effective FG%, and TS% are not good indicators of shooting ability. The guys who lead these categories tend to be bigger men who take a lot of field goals close to the basket. Unless you think Rudy Gobert is one of the best shooters in the NBA, you shouldn't use those categories in your argument.
How about 3pt%. You seem to dodge that one constantly. Or that the average difference in distance that Jordan and LeBron took shots is only 18 inches.
Lebron has a better effective fg%, better TS%, better fg%, better 2pt fg% and better 3pt%. And he didn’t take a high percentage of ineffective shots like Jordan.
He has a better 3pt% even though he jacks up 3pters and Jordan only took wide open available 3s. Lol. You would think a good shooter would knock down a high percentage of 3s when most of them are wide open.
You can keep trying to spin it, but it’s obvious LeBron is the better shooter.
By continuing to use FG%, Effective FG%, and TS%, are you saying you think Rudy Gobert is one of the best shooters in the NBA? He led the NBA in 2pt FG% too!
10-16 feet: Jordan much better 16 feet - 3pt: Jordan much better 3 pt: LeBron slightly better Free throws: Jordan much better

Jordan sustained his greatness long enough to be the GOAT. He just decided to go out on top. Unlike LeBron, who hasn't been a top 5 player in the last six years. He's desperately hanging on trying to get another ring, but it's not happening.
He was just worse at 3pt%, 2pt%, effective fg%, ts% and fg% lol. Sure sounds like a better shooter. lol.
I guess you think Rudy Gobert is a great shooter. lol
How is Rudy Gobert’s 3pt shooting percentage?
Lebron has a better fg%, better Ts%, better effective fg%, better 2ptfg%, better 3pt fg% and they both averaged the same distance on their shots.
And according to you Lebron just jacked up 3s, but still has a better 3pt% than Jordan who took wide open ”available” 3pters. You would think a better shooter who takes wide open, available 3s would shoot a much higher percentage than someone who “jacks up” 3s. lol.
I’ll give you that Jordan shot inefficient shots at a higher % and a higher rate than LeBron. lol.

Jordan Rules- I suggest you stop wasting your time with this Beemer clown. He’s obviously trolling; zero data, zero logic, zero highlights / examples proving LBJ should even be in the same sentence with MJ. He’s got nothing. His arguments get weaker and weaker with each page (…just as LBJ’s claim for the GOAT fades with each passing season). You can see by the up votes / down votes who won the thread.
Imagine playing 22 seasons - ALL in a ‘no-touching’ defense era - having just 4 championships, a single scoring title (while shooting UNDER 38% from 10-23 ft lifetime), and have highlight reels full of uncontested dunks, followed by fake mean muggin’/flexing in front of literally NO ONE!!, while flopping like a poosy biitch when contested at all… and trying to claim you’re the GOAT!! LMAO!! GTFOH!! Hahahaha- it’s absurd!

Just watched them all again- MJ is such a killer! Fouled on just about every drive/dunk attempt, yet still elevates and puts it down directly over opposing giants. Unstoppable.
Also correction to my last post- LBJ shoots under 38% lifetime from “ANYWHERE outside 10 ft from the rim.” Very, very average.
Here’s an entire compilation of “posterizing dunks” from LBJ. NAME ONE quality big man that he dunks directly over that was going for the block.
There are only about three (3) that I’d say even qualify, and I’m not sure who the guys are. Any Hall of Famers? LOL! Do big men even try to stop people driving nowadays?? Or are all the 7’0”+ “centers” and power forwards hanging out around the 3 point line for some idiotic reason. I mean, how TF is the paint always so wide open now??
lol. If it’s your responsibility to put food on your family’s table, are you going to challenge LeBron and risk losing an arm in the process.
Players knew they could stop Jordan, so they challenged him. Lebron? They knew they have no chance. Why try.
You’re telling me THIS guy - this *apparently* weak-legged, soft AF poosy - was going to take someone’s arm off?? LOL- yeah, ok. Basically if the lane isn’t open for him to get a running start from the 3 pt line to the rim, he’s going to *act* line he got fouled?? That’s Beta shiit right there. And Betas are not GOATs.
Pathetic. His “FLOP” compilation is longer than his “dunking over people” compilation! LMAO!!
I guess you think Rudy Gobert is a great shooter. lol

And don’t forget. Jordan played with a shorter 3pt line and still shot poorly. lol.

Great videos! I agree we shouldn't waste our time with that guy anymore, but he made me laugh.
You're right. Under 38% shooting from outside 10 ft isn't something to brag about. Imagine thinking LeBrick is a better shooter than Jordan, and using Rudy Gobert-dominated stat categories to try to plead your case! lol
Speaking of Rudy Gobert-like shooting….Jordan has seasons of 13%, 17%, 17%, 18%, 19% and 19% from 3. And remember, these are wide open, available 3s. Lol

lol. The guy got his shot blocked more than he had and1s. lol. Weak. Very weak.
Hey Beemer- seriously- it’s not even about proving YOU wrong anymore- it’s now just about blasting LBJ’s pathetic, Beta game and embarrassing highlight reels. LOL
So you can go find something else to do that doesn’t include continue trolling NBA GOAT threads with absurd takes. (We know you aren’t serious anymore.)
Here’s yet another great find: a compilation of LBJ getting DUNKED ON!! Dude can’t catch a break on this thread. He’d be incredibly average in the 90s.

It's crap like this that proves you are insanely biased and don't know basketball.
MJ is better than Lebron by the vast majority of metrics and I consider him the GOAT. Lebron is the 2nd best basketball player ever IMO. I think most rational people feel that way.

Relax pal. Feel free to review the last several pages of the thread, where Jordan Rules and myself destroyed a couple goons with stats, facts, and logic.
As many NBA legends confirm, MJ would average 40-45 PPG in today’s defense-less, non-physical game. Not being able to touch him?? LOL- Good luck.
But LBJ would have issues hitting his numbers in the 90s. Serious question- would he be flop all over the place, expecting to get the calls? Or would have to man up and act like the 6’9” 265 that he is?

That's funny because you don't realize how irrelevant those percentages are in the context of Jordan's career. In those five seasons (not six), Jordan had less 3 point attempts than games played. That means you're trying to ridicule him about something he tried less than once a game! lol
