The President of the United States is allowed (and fully approved by Congress!) to stop ALL TRADE with a Foreign Country (Which is far more onerous than a Tariff!), and LICENSE a Foreign Country, but is not allowed to put a simple Tariff on a Foreign Country, even for purposes of NATIONAL SECURITY. That is NOT what our great Founders had in mind! The whole thing is ridiculous! Other Countries can Tariff us, but we can’t Tariff them??? It is their DREAM!!! To dig a little deeper, the GOP can't end the filibuster by itself. It needs 60 votes, which it doesn't have. I don't really get the allegiance to the filibuster. It is unique to this country, I believe.
Why shouldn't the ruling party be allowed to pass the laws it wants to? Why shouldn't a majority of the upper chamber rule? Sink or swim, baby.
The founding fathers certainly had no conception of the filibuster.

It appears that Trump's true motivation on the filibuster is to giddy-up another constitutional violation. States are the ones that run elections but he wants to take over and make federal laws to try to help him win more elections. Odd considering he is a lame duck that fully plans to honor our country and democracy and leave office in 3 years.

The murder rate in many southern cities is greater than Chicago.
Ya know...the Chicago metro population is iver 9 million people.
