The USDA is run by a political/partisan hack. Nothing they say is independent or accurate - nobody takes anything seriously from any government agency anymore. Trump projected partisanship when Biden was President even though it wasn't the case, but now that's the only thing he does with these agencies. If you don't see this you're in denial.

California's state healthcare program is $6 billion over budget because more illegals signed up than they had expected.
And before you say it's not funding it, if someone gets $1000 in food stamps, spends $1000 on food, and then buys drugs, alcohol, etc with the $1000 they saved, the government indirectly paid for their drugs.
