Yet they keep getting richer and bigger and continue to contribute the most to our GDP and broader economy. What you've just described is true of many more red parts of the country than blue. they are working hard to take away healthcare - have been doing that for decades and if they get control of the WH and Congress they will do it. Maybe you've missed the last few election seasons?
And it's not just healthcare - they are trying to gut environmental protections, various civil rights, reduce green energy, etc. If they just wanted to Mississippi-ize WY and LA well that's one thing, but they are coming after all of us, no matter where we live.

Or do you mean reduce the cost of healthcare by not subsidizing the non-working and decreasing the number of things that you don’t need and still are required to purchase coverage for? Are they wanting to gut civil rights or eliminate existing discriminatory policies that give preferential treatment to others based on race, gender or other factors? Do they want to get rid of green energy (Texas and Iowa might disagree considering they produce a large share of the countries green energy and tend to vote Republican) or use an all of the above approach to energy that doesn’t create crushing inflation and keeps costs low and businesses competitive?

Interesting that you feel the need to insult your own family when they aren't here to defend their own ideas.
I suspect you are not being charitable to their views. Do you insult them to gain approval from your progressive friends?
