everyone knew millions of dollars flowed from Saudi citizens and Saudi 'charities' to Al-Qaeda but the Saudi government refused to stop it.
Saudi is a frenemy country. It is fine being friends with corrupt US businessmen like Trump, oilmen like Bush 2 or when they need military help like from Bush 1.
But Saudi is not an ally of the US - they want our guns and they want to sell us oil but they are not good allies. They want us to look the other way when they violate human rights and push extreme islam around the world.
