BREAKING: The Trump Admin. clarified today that Trump never said he will lower prices. That's fake news. He promised to increase prices and is doing exactly that. Trump is a man of his word.
“The past was alterable. The past never had been altered. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.”
Oh, Jesus. You guys want to argue for the sake of it. The construction and implementation took place under Obama, mouse brains. He could have cancelled it, but didn't.
How so? POTUS has to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed," no? Presidents don't have the authority to unilaterally hold back funds that have been appropriated, or to use them for purposes other than Congress has stated. See Train v. City of New York (1975).
I can understand the confusion, however, given that the Trump administration has so blatantly flouted this and other provisions of the Constitution. Which you're probably fine with, because it's Trump doing it.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be distracting: Release the Epstein material.
"I went to Howard University and was in the same psychology class as Kamala Harris. One of the topics we were learning about was IQ. Naturally, we all took an IQ test during one of the classes. After that class, a couple of us were chatting about what we got. Most of us were around 115. Kamala comes up and goes "78…I'll take it! The maximum is 80 right?" Then she started laughing like a psychopath. I thought there was no way this b**** graduates. She must have learned about the range that night, because the next day she comes up to the students she mentioned her score to and started venting about how she was distracted and didn't have her coffee and this and that. No Kamala, you're just an idiot. Everyone in the class thought she was weird."

LMAO. First you're concerned about the AIA of which you have no clue about, now you're confused about what to get mad about.
All of that stuff is required to obtain permits, Nancy. In this case since the AHJ doesn't issue permits for federal buildings, the governing agencies must approve construction plans in a similar manner, requiring the same documentation, which they did, otherwise construction would have been halted. But they didn't issue permits, Nancy, like you implied they should have, because they do not release federal building information to the public due to security concerns.
Let's see what you come back with. There must be something else you don't like that I could explain to you.
Again, since this isn't getting through to you:
YOU were the one that claimed they needed permits on the previous page:
"More TDS. Classic keyboard architect response. Did you forget I am an architect/ developer and Ivy League trained? All of what you say is nonsense because it is required to obtain permits. Your sense of things is adolescent at best."
Now you're saying they don't need permits or don't have them.
You claim to be an expert yet you continue to contradict yourself.
You're getting hung up on technicalities that I am having to explain to you without you fully understanding what you're talking about. For whatever reason you are hung up on approvals vs permit distribution by the AHJ, of which you would have no clue about if I didn't explain it to you, in various posts by which you were trying to argue different points outside of jurisdiction relevance. Kinda like: the AIA should somehow be involved. It's irrelevant and incorrect because they do not enforce anything like federal approvals for building construction. It makes no sense for you to even bring up the AIA.
You are deflecting by attempting to find holes in my explanations, not argument, that you do not fully understand. You are lost.
Anyway, you don't have a case for the actual point of discussion, which is that Trump did in fact go through all the proper processes to begin construction, so your small worries about asbestos and other dumb stuff are void. There are multiple guidelines and procedures that must be followed in 2025. You can't just go building something in the middle of D.C. without any of that. It's nonsense if you think otherwise.

Do all roads lead to Epstein?
The anonymous 130 million dollar donor that gave to “pay the military” during the shutdown has been identified. It is a biggly Trump donor from the Mellon family. Timothy Mellon. He is heir to the NY bank of Mellon. They have stopped using the Mellon name.
NY bank of Mellon was just sued by one of their Epstein Jane Does for their role in funding and handling the Epstein transactions without filing SARS so all of it could fly under the radar. You can kinda see why they would like the govt to stay shut down so no vote happens and the Epstein files get released.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence. He just likes the troops!

Ha.
Lots of ways legally. Delay to ensure NHPA, 54 U.S.C. § 306108 is met. 31 U.S.C. § 1341.
Many federal construction projects are subject to detailed procurement rules. The executive branch has broad authority to slow projects by insisting on proper competitive bidding, oversight, or compliance with labor and safety statutes.
The president can issue executive directives requiring additional review, cost-benefit analysis, or design adjustments before any contracts are signed. While this is administrative rather than legislative, it is fully within the president’s authority to manage executive branch operations.
This is sometimes called “executive discretion in implementation,” and it’s why agencies can delay spending legally, without violating the Appropriations Clause.
Almost any major construction or renovation project funded by the federal government triggers NEPA requirements, like an Environmental Assessment (EA) or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
The president cannot order funds spent in violation of NEPA, which can effectively delay projects for months or years, even if the money is appropriated, or have the project cancelled if these violations are not resolved.
Budget Execution Laws (31 U.S.C. § 1511–1514)
But, you'd rather spin it as "Trump is a dictator." No, Obama cooperated with and implemented the plans to spend 100s of Ms $ of tax payer's money for 4 years of White House renovation.
You guys only have one eye. Open the other one.

For unto us a President is elected. Unto us a Leader is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called MAGA, Stable Genius, Mighty Trump, Everlasting Fuhrer, Dealer of Peace.
The S&P is up 14.6% and there have been 35 new high closes for the S&P since Trump took office. At his point in Biden's presidency, the S&P was up 20.2% and had had 54 record high closes.
p.s. Inflation is up more than 25% since April.
Huh?!? Through September inflation for 2025 is up only 3% year-to-year.
No. The CPI was up 3.0% year-to-year in September. Inflation is determined by the change in CPI. If you don’t know these basics, you have no business posting anything about the economy.

The 14.66% you post represents the appreciation in the index. It does not include dividends.
Neither does the 20.2%. Since dividend yields have been trending downwards, it suggests the total return under Biden was even more impressive. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Nobody says "inflation is up 50%" if it goes from 2.0% to 3.0%. People talk about the CPI and that's mainly it (along with the PPI and a few more).

And, for that matter, would you say inflation was up 550% under biden when it went from 1.4% to 9.1%?

Inflation is measured "year-to-year." Meaning it is measured how prices have gone up to 12 months ago. Shoko seems like a great guy but is a bit nuts.

Inflation at 550% is what happens in Venezuela. Shoko is a bit cukoo.
