A little confused with qualifying from Divisions to Masters for the SJS. The official website has inconsistent info: one doc said the top 32 marks from all 5 divisions combined, another one says 24. Maybe I am just misreading something...
Jesuit is a private school that recruits. They don't have to follow the rules. They get kids from anywhere unlike public schools that need to follow rules and have kids live within boundaries. Maybe if Jesuit did this within a 15 mile radius. Basically all star team that cheats.

Keep screaming at the wind, dude.
Tell me, why would Bilodeau randomly go from Granite Bay to Jesuit? There answer is blatantly obvious...

Qualification through the ranks used to be a sensible process. SJS has indeed made things confusing with unnecessary modifications. And a terrible website hasn’t helped. Probably too worried about suppressing any ‘Girls in Sports’ protests.

They changed it after the race in the 3200 from 24 qualifiers to 32 because of the inconsistent information.

I would guess to be on a better team at a better school with better coaches. Is there some other answer?
Right, ditching a great school that had him at 4:11, that has had a historically good program, and has sent kids to state in track and/or XC almost every year?
But surely, the private school that recruits and takes all those talented athletes away from their public home schools is just “better,” right?
I know you are very angry still because of the transfer because you are one of the GB coaches but it's time to move on. I doubt their 80 year old coach is hanging around GB trying to get their kids. The other coaches don't even attend meets much less out recruiting.

Wait, you’re still accusing JHS of actively recruiting? Haven’t we addressed this before and shut it down when you failed to offer even a modicum of evidence? And if you think Bilodeau ended up Jesuit solely for their running program, you’re way behind the times, my friend. Just ask anyone at GB. Now if you’re upset about JHS, just wait until the other private schools in the area announce their fall xc rosters…

That's great to hear, I think 32 is a fair amount for a 3200. Definitely a huge relief for those 12 kiddos as well
Shouldn’t Summer Wilson have been DQed? As she dropped out of the 1600 and did not give an Honest effort. So she shouldn’t have been able to run the 3200 according to the rules as she could have finished the 1600.

No.
Per the CIF Playoff Track Bulletin page 14, the "honest effort" rule applies from the masters meet into the State meet. There's no mention of it applying during the divisional prelims or finals.

Heartbreaking fall for Kaaliyah Lacy in the 300mh. Looked like she was 30 meters ahead of the field.
Falls plural. Kaaliyah Lacy fell on hurdle 7 and also fell on hurdle 8. She went from being the heavy favorite to win the state championship to not even qualifying for state.
Fortunately she is a sophomore so she still has 2 more years to go.
Gweneth Williams of El Toro proved why you run the race. She was the number 8 seed in the D2 1600 and the 26th seed overall. She won the D2 1600 and had the 5th fastest time of the day.
