There’s been plenty of random witnesses turning up to run with him, I thought he was riding a bike, cruising in the RV along the side of the road illegally, or watch muling. What a coincidence that he keeps getting spotted running.
For all those saying wrist based HR is unreliable. It's worth noting that Whoop has been one of WG sponsors. So now we know why "tech fail" is no longer an excuse given by the Goodge Camp for the strange HR. Cannot bite the hand that feeds you. It does make one wonder how the whole tech part of this is architected. How something so simple like running and tracking running can be made so complex is a real head scratcher.
Had to check. unclear to me why one wrist based HR monitor would be preferred over another. Technically they are probably similar.

1) WG has never been observed cheating
2) WG has never admitted cheating

6) Ratification of records does not happen based on public opinion.
I do think WG has a better chance of runnning to the moon than he has of outrunning allegations of cheating. But until / unless 1, 2 or 3 above occurs this debate will be endless.
I saw a recent video of David Goggins at an Andy Elliot "conference", so regardless of what you think of WG, there are people out there doing worse things.
The level of sophistication these keyboard warriors are suggesting this group of "f*ckboys" has (and can't even pinpoint how they would be cheating)..... Why wouldn't they be robbing banks instead? It's quite laughable.
All the skeptics here would bow down and credit this bloke if the data was there. To Nedd’s credit he had the live stream, was forward with how a ‘super lap’ worked prior to starting his 1000 mile attempt. That’s all we are asking for. A vid of how they are uploading the data, reasons for doing what they are doing (i.e. no chest HRM strap, not recording more than 5 seconds of running). Reality is that no one is this laid back and cool, running 3800km without having some interest in physiology and running metrics in general. Heck the bloke even has a video up on Strava of him doing a VO2max test with a chest strap on. Yet he’s flown all the way to Australia to break a record, and he’s acting like we are all a bunch of tossers for questioning him. The issue is he’s lost credibility by running through the most isolated part of Australia without a solid data backing. So we’ll see him limp into Sydney, probably with more realistic HR and cadence numbers, more eyes on him etc an he’ll smash the record. Give us what we want Willy boy, prove us doubters wrong.

To his inability to run an even vaguely impressive marathon or ultra under observation? Or even just to the idea that world records in ultra running deserve meticulous evidence?

The fact that either side thinks they can convince the other on a LR message board is perhaps the most absurd thing in this whole thread. FWIW I think he looks too fresh and robotic to be legit and he comes across as a douchey gym bro. You guys should just succumb to the fact that this is not going to be resolved and each side will end up believing what they want. (Reminds me a bit of US politics doesn’t it)
I have no doubt that goodge is in the van ready to go at all times.
He seems to do 25to 30 km first thing wearing the watch or whoop, whatever. Then it goes safely in the machine in the caravan / car for the rest of the day.
Remember, to run with him, you have to organise in advance. Noone to my knowledge has rocked up out of the blue and checked what HR his watch on his wrist says.
So there is no credible evidence any way other than his own data and condition.

Goggins is the prototype hybrid athlete influencer that spawned all the Goggins wannabes. Goodge is on the same trajectory as him.
