On the other hand, while actively seeking out folks sick with the Covid for the past 3.5 months, I have not come across one. Not one.
You must not know very many people. I know five who have been sick with COVID-19. That's just among my friends and their close relatives.
My wife works as a nurse in a hospital. She has personally witnessed dozens of people die from COVID-19.
But it is all a media/deep state conspiracy.

My friend's daughter is a doctor works in an Atlanta hospital ICU and has seen many folks die -- just none from Covid.

The narrative was written in advance.
Three people in my family in NYC got it. They are young and middle-aged and one of them, a D1 athlete, had a 103 degree fever for two days. But I wouldn't expect that many people from southern or western states (outside of Washington and California) to know too many people with COVID yet. The Northeast got hit hard and everyone there knows plenty of people who got it. The Times carried thousands of obituaries for those who died. The rest of the country is starting to get a lot more cases and by the fall most of those doubters will have learned the hard way about this. The truly awful thing is that we could have avoided almost all of this hardship by shutting down early but Trump had all the public health experts telling him how bad it could be without decisive action in January and he did very little.

Odd. I live in the Boston area and hardly anyone I know knows someone who has gotten the virus.
