Why should we be surprised. He had no comment on 9% inflation and record high gas prices. He no-commented when the covid vaccine proved not to stop the spread after he tried to force it on 100 million people. When 13 service members were killed and thousands were stranded in Afghanistan he had no comment on that either just like his no comment when a drone strike killed innocent children. Spy balloon flies over the USA - no comment til it's too late. He was caught lying about his involvement with Hunter Biden's corruption - no comment again. So having no comment on 1000 missing Americans is about a par for the course, summary of his presidency basically.

At least this Democrat had the courage to criticize Biden on this, saying:

Again, if it had been New Orleans Biden would have hopped on the first plane to visit the city and given them $30 billion.
