This is exactly right. I'll spend more time talking about the awful car wreck I saw last week, but won't say much about today's smooth ride home without any accidents.

The fact we are posting about Trump is no complement. There are still books and movies about Nazis Germany and that was a long time ago and its nothing to brag about either.

Another interesting fact was that the death rates initially for democratic states (that received the most out of country visitors like New York & California) were initially higher than the Republican states. But that changed by July 1 and states with Republican governors have had a much higher death rate than democrat states. This was due to the lax, trump inspired, attitude toward Covid.

I wonder if more elderly Republicans have died which might change voting patterns.

I remember we discussed this after Biden crushed fat boy. Many in here seemed to be convinced that trump was just going to fade away into irrelevance, especially after getting banned from social media, but sure enough he is still their king. They never bothered to put a fight and are more than happy to pretend he actually won. The GQP is done, but perhaps they think they can squeeze out a little more grifting and criming by staying behind him. Trump will raise more cash (aka fleece voters) and will either not run at all or will run and suffer a much worse loss than last year. This is going to be a pretty ugly ending for the party. Can't wait.

I think you are overestimating the power of democracy to do the right thing.

I think it's perfectly clear that trumpist propaganda works and will succeed in electing members, senators and presidents. It has, it is, it will continue to do so.

Not sure why you think democracy exempts its citizens from being subject to propaganda, violence, lies and hate. That stuff feeds the human soul, obviously.

The main benefit of democracy is not that it chooses the best leaders, but that it allows us to get rid of the bad ones. So we got rid of one bad leader. Doesn't mean we won't elect another

Wigins is a troll. He's been told this multiple times. He thinks posting this crap will get others riled up. Trump will likely end up being the most talked about, studied and discussed President in our country's history........and not for a single good reason.
