Both! I want to see someone hired at OU because it’s been a while. I’m also curious who Stanford picks (if indeed Kevin). Process has been slow.
OU should move on from XC, it’s gone downhill ever since Martin left and they are too far behind to catch up with the big three teams in Big 12.

I said all along if I was JJ I'd hire a distance coach and if he's doing that then it's a smart move.
Stanford needs to be run like a CEO would. JJ should absolutely hire distance coach (maybe two).

Do administrators at institutions like this even care about the competitive experience, or is it just about how things look and whether everybody can go home at night feeling good about themselves?
So they saw her in action for a full year and liked her approach. They should have hired some boring old dude that spent ten years as an assistant? Why? That’s not how the real world works. The athletes like her and other coaches respect her. It’s not like she doesn’t know anything about track just because she didn’t spend years holding a stopwatch. Live with it.

I heard they hired a coach from the southeast.
Not sure who but I know they have a head distance position hired.
