Although nobody in our running circle witnessed him cheating, we had our suspicions. He posted some fast times at HAT 50K and others prior to getting caught at FebApple. Those times weren’t consistent with what we experienced during training runs where he was present. He was mid-pack at best.

The second time I witnessed him cheat was Vermont 100, also in 2012. That was his first DQ. After that Kelly became a joke to many Ultra runners in the PA/NJ/DE/MD running scene. We joked that he moved out West because the East Coast was on to him.

Kraphouse Kelly, the guy busted for hiding out in port-o-pottys to cheat in at least 21 races (probably at least 35 though) has moved again.

Let's remember that he started his cheating ways in Philly, then moved to NJ, then Delaware, then Maryland, and then fled out west to Cali, then Washington, then to Utah where he was finally made international headlines with his shenanigans.

He has yet to apologize or return any of the ill-gotten hardware or sponsorship money.
