I want Kenya to get gold. About time.
a bunch of fence jumpers... 3 so far seen.
Flanigan, Desi, Cragg in 6th, 7th, 11th at 40K.
Looks like Flanigan and Desi are running out of real estate to reel themselves onto the podium.
How can they let people on the course?!?
Wow. We almost witnessed one of those police executions of criminals as those guys jumped the barriers and went on to the course. That would have made for great TV.
Cram channeling Rawson? Said something about "5 laps around the track" that reminded me of Larry.
The (sum)Gong Show!
Idiots jumping the fence...take a baseball bat to the kneecap

1. Kenya
2. Bahrain (via Kenya)
3. Ethiopia
4. Ethiopia
5. Poland
6. USA
7. USA
Shalane almost won the first white woman prize. Two Americans in the top 7 - better than the men will do.

Update on Estonian triplets, please!
Looks like top 7 all ran negative splits. Desi ran a consistently even pace in the first half, but not enough of them ahead faded to take advantage of it.

Not Poland, Belarus
Kara would have medaled.
I agree africanwinsagain. We almost saw a live tv cop killing!
Live stream had a great moment of Shalane greeting Des at the finish line with open arms!
Someone fill me in, I am sure I should know this but...why did they not finish on the track? Isn't that the norm in an olympic marathon?
