Gosh, I inow he's good, but don't you think it's too soon to name the event after him? Though, "The Marquardt Mile presented by Nesquik" does have a nice ring to it.
Lau 29:45, Thorson 30:02 at Gina relays.
I think he sneaks under. 3:59.89

Interesting, I figured Thorson could grind out a 10k. Either an off day or he's more of a 3k/5k guy.
Does Marquardt finally go under today...3:59.14 prediction

No one goes under, would have been really tough to do it alone. With so many guys in 4:03-4:05 shape maybe someone will organize a post season mile meet, plus the real athletes can do a beer mile as the main event.
Huge surprise, kids from bad wisconsin schools party it up too much and choke at the end of the season.
You know what they say about Stout...
Escher/Campbell go 2-3 in drake 1500 in 3:45 rainy and wind. Both within half a second of David Timlin https://m.tfrrs.org/athletes/4083629/Indiana_State/David__Timlin.html

Lol
Why won't Mitch Black double at natties? This kid could easily take the 8 while giving Olaf brethren a run for their money in the 15.
Kid is soft if he doesn't attempt.
I don't know why Mitch Black won't run the 1500. He's already won the 800 3 TIMES! This is UNBELIEVEABLE. If he doesn't win the 1500 he is DONE!
NO WAY Black would be able to hang with Escher/Campbell/Marquardt in a 1500. They are all 3:43/3:44 guys, Black's hardly broken 3:51
The kid straight NEVER tries. Put him in a race with these kids and he will run 3:42
That only because this kid has no experience and doesn't try. He could definitely run around 3:44, and in a championship type race that 1:48 speed would give those kids a run for their money
Black could run at least that fast, if not faster if he decided to focus on the 15. He is in 3:43/44 shape today without a doubt. Maybe if you paid any attention to his racing progression you'd be able to deduce the same.
I would like to point out that Mitch Black is coached by Jamie Norton who is a 4:06 miler. Jamie Norton has trained him to be the next great 4:06 miler. That converts to a 3:48 1500. If Mitch Black runs the 1500 in 3:48 he will NOT WIN.
He is an awesome 800 kicker but I don't see anyone being able to outkick Escher

He won't stand a chance after we throw down that northeast spring weather time conversion on his ass. 10 sec/mile this year.
