Lots of people have said stuff to this effect here. And certainly what SFH did is unlikely to help her kid. But I think it's too simplistic to conclude that her kid is going to be damaged goods.
I don't know about Suzy's parents, but I know some other messed up people who had solid parents (by all accounts, though I guess one never knows). So if solid parents can sometimes yield messed-up kids, why not the reverse? Certainly there are examples of that, no?
