Tbh I am slightly disappointed... I think Rupp has it in his head that he can't beat Mo. But I think he can. I had Rupp for gold :(

Was this the slowest 10km winning time since 1992? Why did Tadessa and all the strength runners let it go so slow?

After 14:05 split I was expecting a 13:05 last 5km aka like Tergat.

do not forget that we have the new kids on the block dejene and hagos. Mo is the lucky that ibrahim injured kenenisa injured . To tell u z truth mo did not impress me since he is not as such peroform as kenenisa and haile did the last 15 yr. Only luck

Awesome. I'm hoarse. I suspect that the video, when re-watched and kibbitzed, will show that Rupp ran a damn near perfect race. Never lost his cool. He ran a championship race. And took the silver.

You may be sure that if he could have beaten Mo, he would have. But the look in his eyes when he realized that the boys had taken 1-2 was priceless. If you're gonna get beat to the line, it better be by your boy.

No. They knew it already, it was bloody obvious what Mo/Rupp could do in a kick. They were individually unwilling, which made them collectively unable to take the race out fast enough to prevent a disaster.

Anyone get the last lap? I have the last 1k at ~227 but missed the split on the last lap.

I better revise my 5000 selections. I will put Rupp down for a gold or silver.
