MileSplits official *Girls Championship formatted results for the 2025 Hare & Hounds XC Invitational (at McAlpine Park, Charlotte), hosted by Metrolina Christian Academy in Charlotte NC.
I just watched the Woodbridge girls championship race and the announcer mentioned a girl from Georgia that would break Jane Hendegren's records. I heard to no name.
After about a minute of research I found another Jane:
Kenya’s athletics prodigy Jane Waweru Wangari has shone brightly in the United States, less than two weeks after making history as the first Kenyan student-athlete to join a U.S. high school through Townhall Athletics. The 14...
Come on, man, there are a couple American girls about a minute faster already.
True, but maybe not on that course.
Without knowing yet if this new Kenyan phenom is for real, Alder has to now be the favorite to win NXN.
She just won Woodbridge and her coach is same as Hedengren, so there should be a nice plan to get her from Woodbridge to Glendomere.
We'll watch NXR Southeast to see if the new kid is on the start line.
I believe the announcer at Woodbridge was Rich Gonzalez, it sounded like him. If anyone is in the know it's him. I don't believe he would make that statement unless he knew something we don't. Watch the video. He makes the statement around the mile mark.

Maybe Rich Gonzalez knows something we don't. Or maybe he's just assuming that because she's from Kenya she must be as fast as Jane Hedengren. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Chiara Dailey ran practically the same time as Alder at Woodbridge. Blair Barlett is the fastest returning 3200 runner from last year. Natasza Dudek just ran a xc race at least as impressive as Alder's Woodbridge race.
So that's 3 other girls that also have a good shot to win NXN.

I don't believe Chiara Dailey will run NXN. The race in her hometown is back on. She DNF'd there last year. I believe she'll want to redeem herself in her hometown.
