In fact, there are 19 different all-electric battery EVs now on sale in the US. And most of those 19 models have multiple configurations. You will need to wait until later this year if you want an all-electric pickup though.

Yea, I remember those days. Always hated mowers.

Internal combustion engines just suck. The whole idea always seemed like a giant kludge. When you think about what an internal combustion engine has to do, it's an engineering miracle that they work at all.

And hats off to the engineers who made them work for us all these years. But their days are numbered because batteries have gotten better and allow a more simple and elegant design.

I think it's pretty obvious that nobody wants to fight with big pharma as long as they hold the key to ending the pandemic.

I believe I have heard somewhere that allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices is off the table right now. It's one of the biggest slam-dunk issues for Democrats. It would lower drug prices for everyone and Democrats would get the credit. But nobody wants to talk about it.

When we retake the Senate and capture the House we have to make sure we do it with class as conservatives usually do . Conservatives are always about class and not demeaning the losers.

I took a college engineering class on automotive engineering. The most fascinating part of the class was the study of the history of automobiles, specifically engines. We did a roadtrip to the Sparks Car Museum in Sparks, Nevada (now the National Automobile Museum in Reno; sadly about half the private collection was sold off when casino owner Harrah past away). Every possible car engine you could imagine was on display. Electric, rotary, steam-powered, external combustion and more. All of those engine styles were around with gasoline-powered, and they offered better efficiencies than gasoline.

Gasoline only won the engine wars because Henry Ford thought he could build it the fastest and cheapest, and he could more easily buy the patents. A sad, but true, tale. The world has been stuck with gasoline engines because of Ford making a short-sighted cost-savings decision over 100 years ago.
