I was going to let this go but it seems the word has been misspelled at least three times recently. A cache is something entirely different from what you're talking about.

The OP was vague and I interpreted "chose not to go" to mean chose not to go to college, period. Note that it never says chose to go to a "lesser school" but I now see that your interpretation was probably the intended meaning. I don't think that that is all that surprising. If you are very smart and qualified and turn down Harvard to go to Ohio State (presumably with a full ride because my experience is that most kids who turn down the top Ivies to go to their state school get a full-ride), then, assuming you continue to study hard (and not party too much at State U), then you will finish at the top of your class and get into a top grad school or land a top job. My experience also is that I would rather hire that person because that person is going to work his or her butt off and not have the sense of entitlement many of the former have. I know many people who recruit for big firms who specifically target just that kind of person: a very smart person who turned down top schools to stay in state for a full ride.

Good catch on cachet. The cache in my brain is failing.

^ Good example of the pointlessness of arguing on the Internet, where self-projection infects reading comprehension. VB simply interposed "to go work" when it never existed, so leading to a 100% misunderstanding. And then tried to blame the "original post that wrongly claimed" when it didn't even say that. This is why it's so easy to lie with statistics. Some people just don't even bother.

Still not completely correct because there are a number of top firms on Wall Street, in consulting, and a handful of other industries who only recruit from the Ivies and a few selected others like Stanford...you could be the valedictorian at State U. but you still aren’t getting recruited by those firms.

Prosecutors are seeking help to build the strongest case possible against as many defendants as they can find who committed crimes. We’re told they have already reached out to a number of suspects and whoever talks first, could get the best deal.

As best I can determine, she's been married twice, not thrice: Lyle Lovett and Daniel Moder.

Presumably her remarks about children-and-husband relate to Moder, who is the father of her three kids.

Read the study. The guy is from Princeton so he probably had the opposite agenda of the findings making it very credible. They didn’t exclude the Ivy grads who went to work at the top WS firms. Their bloated salaries are included with all of the Ivy grads when comparing to the smart grads from State U and the findings were that they ended up earning the same on average. If you want to exclude those WS firms, then the smart State U grads are earning more than the Ivy grads.

The USC Judicial Council for the Undergraduate Student Government is knee-deep in investigating the cheating scandal at the school, and we're told students are blowing the whistle on scores of their fellow students who allegedly cheated their way into the University.

Sources directly connected to the Council tell TMZ, USC students have referred 60 of their classmates to the Council, claiming they used underhanded or illegal means to gain admission. One source tells TMZ, there is "hysteria" on the campus in the wake of the scandal, and the accusations are flying.

We're told of the 60, the Council determined 57 allegations were unfounded.

People are wondering how these cheaters get through college. They are cheaters. They don't stop after being admitted. They buy papers online. They pay for test answers. They get a good job where they coast and the cycle continues.

That and the colleges have plenty of Bozo Courses to go around.

The website SeekingArrangements, one of the most popular platforms for connecting 'sugar babies' with 'sugar daddies', has released a list of the 'fastest growing' schools for sugar babies. And oddly enough, rather than being expensive private schools like NYU (#17) and USC (#13), the top spots are largely occupied by public schools like Georgia State (#1) and West Virginia University (#11).

Georgia State, which took the top spot, had 1,300 registered sugar babies, 300 of which signed up in 2018.
