So I have seen the argument made multiple times that the initial alleged crime against Smollett was “too perfect” to be real. Can’t the same be said about the hoax? Because this is one of the most perfectly stupid things I have ever read about in my life. If this hoax really went down the way the latest version of events suggests, then Jussie Smollett might be the dumbest actor in TV history in addition to having a serious personality disorder. Forget about race and politics. The real question we need to be asking is “How can such a moron function on a daily basis, much less star in a hit TV show?” He must be some sort of idiot savant.

What you always have to ask: Would you rather be prosecutors making a case or would you rather be the criminal defense team? Two Nigerian-Americans who were arrested, got released when they became cooperators for the state. All you know is what cops have leaked off the record to media. I do not think prosecutors have an easy case.

Yeah, I believe this story is about some type of mental illness rather than trying to make M.A.G.A. guys look bad. I saw his Robin Roberts interview and he portrayed himself as being a hero. That he would think the police would believe his story and that it would make him look good somehow is not rational and he didn't consider the damage to his reputation that would occur if the the hoax was uncovered.

The only negative ramification caused by his story was the wasting the time of Chicago police and it was fun for everyone to mock him.

A fine, probation, a psychiatric evaluation and absolute humiliation would be an appropriate punishment.

His social media activities was very anti-President before the hoax. I don't care what his state of mind was or mental deficiencies he has, do the time like everyone else. Three years in prison and pay back every penny Chicago PD wasted on investigation. That is 17 detectives working on a BS story for close to a month.

I saw that too; how could 17 detectives be needed to investigate Smollett's story? It seems that a couple of guys would be enough.
