If I were on the sideline for someone like Lagat or True, I would tell them to let him go, and watch everyone else. If I were on the sideline for Kipchirchir or Landry for example, I would tell them to go with the break, and push on over the top when Rupp backs back off. Good opportunity for second tier runners to ambush the others.

With Kipchirchir and Lagat in the front, the others need to worry. Even if Rupp comes back down, those two can work together to press on.

Yes, he won the DL meet in the heat but that was a 5k. This isa 10k and he's a big dude.

Rupp, Kipchirir and Lagat have 20 -25 meters on Mead. Who had 10 meters on Korir and Jenkins and True are 15-20 behind that. It's over.

Do you think we will see even 800m of the finish? I put the over/under at 500.
