Insights into Northern Colorado head job? Formality post? They have several coaches who have been there for awhile, seems like its probably one of theirs for the taking?
So PNW is basically Washington, Oregon, and some consider Idaho. For D-1, that's UW, WaSt, SU, EaWa, Gonz, UO, OrSt, UP, PtldSt, UId, BoiseSt, IdSt.
Which one is it? We already know about Gonzaga. It was already posted on here and the front page. Not a secret. Portland State is always in trouble and unstable. Maybe Rob at UP is getting long in the tooth and is ready to move on? He's been there a long time.
It’s not public info yet so want to be respectful of that.
Dara Ford, director of track and field and cross country at Otterbein since 2014, has been selected as Denison's new Director of Track and Field and Cross Country.
Looks like a great hire for Denison. They should be better. But (from the outside at least), Otterbein looks like a place you'd want to retire from. Otterbein AD seems like a great guy.

Otterbein appears to be under significant enrollment pressure.
Denison - huge endowment, national recognition, clear investment into athletics (Nationals champs in Swimming, W-basketball, highly ranked in baseball) and a bigger full time staff. What is not to like about that job?
Where will the Northern Colorado coach go to? I know any lesser D-1 schools are having a tough time keeping good talent at their schools. That would drive any coach away from their college. I know top D-1s took all the talent from UNC. Heartbreaking. I think the same can be said about UMES. They took their best athletes too.
yeah...especially since I think they said they were taking applications until the 23rd. If that's the case sounds like a formality if you are going to start interviewing before your own publicized deadline.
Otterbein Athletic Director, Gregg Lott is the absolute best. Extremely smart, hard working, and knows Track.
He ran 45.X back in the early 2000s training with Brooks Johnson’s group.
Then made several coaching stops including sprints coach and recruiting coordinator at West Point and Director of TF/ XC at The United States Merchant Marine Academy. If you want a smart AD that cares about and understands the sport, you won’t find better. They had an indoor + outdoor track and he just invested $80K into their Cross Country Course. I worked for him for 2 years at US Merchant Marine Academy and loved every day of it.
