So the Today clip stated, "Her Olympic Trials results were automatically disqualified when she tested positive." However, if you check the official results on the USATF website, she is still listed as the 100m winner.
What gives? Are they just trying to keep her on there as long as possible just in case there is a chance she could still run in Tokyo? Once they officially DQ her it might be impossible to reinstate her.

But… agreed. Preserving individual liberty is a goal for all aspects of society. We should fight to change the WADA rules as penalties for weed make even less sense than protracted lockdowns with no contact tracing or testing :)

As much as I believe weed should be legal, this is idiotic of her to put herself in this position. It’s similar to alcohol or smoking. They are legal but you can’t drink on the job or come to work hungover and you can’t smoke in a no-smoking area. The competition window is a “no weed area”, so don’t use weed while in the window.
Yes, weed is likely less harmful than tobacco and less injurious and impairing than alcohol, but it’s a simple rule.
If you don’t like the no weed rule, fight it.
I really hope this incident will teach young up and coming athletes to be responsible with their profession so this does not happen to them

Here's my Rick Williams story. I was a junior year xc/track athlete when he got drafted. His team was using the university fields for their preseason training camp. I, a bunch of team mates, and other Fall sport athletes were doing weight workouts in the intercollegiate athletics weight room. Ricky Williams and an entourage of three other guys come in and the other guys come around and announce that Ricky would like to do his workout in private and we all needed to leave. Pretty much everybody looked at them like, who the f... are you? Several people laughed and everybody went back to what they were doing. Williams and his entourage looked unhappy and left.

I love how she talks about using it as a coping agent. When you use a coping agent it’s something you normally use (food/alcohol/pot). Public is eating it up and inferring like it was a first time use.
